2023-03-20 22:30:15 +0000 UTCI love the small detail of the development of Buffy and Giles' relationship in the episode, the fact that she now gets that Giles being a watcher is as much of a 'no choice' destiny as being the Slayer is for her. It's what he is, same as her, and they've both struggled with and against it, but have ultimately both ended up accepting their destinies. BtVS does really well with character and building in a way that feels natural, even for a show set in a supernatural universe.
