The tracking shot at the school at the beginning of the episode is one of my favorite scenes of the series. A single take 3 minutes long, 9 actors 11 interactions, and dozens of extras. A single mistake and they have to do it all again, Then it cuts to Buffy, trying to eat spaghetti from the can and failing. A portrait of depression. At the end Buffy realizes she can't walk away from being the Slayer because that would mean turning her back on people in need. And that's not who she is. Zipper tabs, that what thy were all making in the demon dimension. My guess.

2023-05-01 00:04:05 +0000 UTCThe word you were trying to think of may be image quality. The first two seasons were shot on 16mm film, but starting with season 3 we are shooting on 35mm film. This is where the series really takes off with bigger budgets and better fight choreography.
