Buffy/Riley is really not a popular ship, I just checked AO3 and there are 331 story story with Buffy/Riley out of 39556 Buffy fanfic. The two most popular ships there are Buffy/Spike (6340) and Buffy/Angel (2337). Sadly Willow/Oz does not make the top 10. Eww inducing is Buffy/Giles at number 3.
