You will inevitably get many comments about how this episode was delayed airing due to the Columbine tragedy. But, I prefer to point out that part of the episode actually takes its inspiration from another school shooting. Jonathan in the clocktower with a rifle mirrors the 1966 incident at the University of Texas at Austin. So, I find it interesting that an episode that references one tragedy was then directly affected by another similar tragedy.
