2024-01-09 00:13:54 +0000 UTCI’m always intrigued by who people’s favorites are. Among the potential slayers I like Kennedy the most. But she’s also got more screen time than the others, except for Amanda in this episode who to me seems like a deliberate callback to the socially awkward high schooler trope of the early seasons, which I don’t overly care for. And I do like at least the potential for a new relationship for Willow. She really deserves that after having her heart ripped out last season. Maybe it’s too soon but there’s an apocalypse looming and we’re out of seasons.

Well, I think the writers have made it clear that it’s okay now. Spike’s got a soul now, he got it for Buffy because he realized how much he messed up. Buffy, who's also clearly confused about how she herself feels about Spike (and her and Spike), has forgiven him too. But if it matters to you, then yes. Spuffy was and is still the most popular ship among the fans as well as the writers themselves. We (and Buffy) understand that that was a different Spike then. So by this point we've forgiven and moved on. Just like fans have forgiven and moved on after Willow basically raped Tara in OMWF. Speaking of, I don’t approve of Kennedy either lol. Not because she’s not Tara (although that’d be a valid reason), she’s just too unlikable. Willow deserves to be happy again, but Kennedy is just not the right person for her. The potentials in general are the downfall of this season. But I do like Amanda a lot!
