Same am worried too lol, like I keep saying don't give up on these I love watching someone else fan girl over this show....lol. it came out in the 90s with a low budget, I think that explains alot of it lol.
There are some REALLY good episodes...thank you so much for doing this

I hope she enjoys the more comedic episodes because itβs the real charm of Xena. This was the first truly comedic episode of the show.

Yeah. But the whole point was to show that theyβre really different people.

Another way that they were able to save on budget. I still donβt know when they did the switcharoo after all these years watching.
I assume when Xena went back for her stuff in the castle. She just decided not to get dressed and met up with Diana instead and they continued to be each other because of Philemonβs concerns that the danger was still in the castle but never told Philemon.

Oh and just a little add on.. in think it's fair to say you don't need to judge or read too much into the characters choices too much in this first season.. the show was definitely just finding its footing and once we move into the following seasons we start to see much more grounded/consitent characters with really great character story arcs.

Glad you liked this one. I've worried that you're interest would fade trying to get through season 1. It can be a bit trying at times. Especially with the boyfriend of the week formula they love using for the girls in this season.
But they're are some really great episodes coming up at the end of this season. Really excited for you to get to them!

Fun to see Lucy Lawless stretch her acting muscles! She did a great job being both. Gabrielle didn't even seem to to have the same chemistry with Diana like she does with Xena, which is bizarre because it's the same actor.

Maybe the audio cut out and you had to restate your closing thoughts, but at least the sound didn't get all distorted this time! π Anyway, I'm glad you really liked this one. It's certainly a fun comic indulgence to see Xena meet her remarkably coincidental lookalike, Diana, and have them switch places (and then pretend to have switched back.) I didn't quite understand what you meant by all the talk about Wonder Woman. I think it's very unlikely that this Princess Diana was named after Princess Diana of Themyscira/Paradise Island. (And, as an aside, I think that, at the time, the person who came to mind for most people when they heard "Princess Diana" was the mother of Princes William and Harry, who was still alive at the time, and arguably the world's most famous woman, and I don't even think this Diana is named after HER, either.) ... I was a little worried this might be too zany for you. Nope. π
