2024-07-29 06:16:21 +0000 UTCTed (Joxer) did an admirable job filling in for this Lucy light episode. This is also the Meet cute of my second favorite side ship Gaphrodite! The most interesting part of this episode for me was Aphrodite & Gabrielle's views of love. Gabrielle thinks love is selfless, gentle, and about trust. Aphrodite says it can also be about jealously & anger. I love how Cupid says it's both. Maybe Gabrielle just hasn't experienced all sides of love yet.

Two Hercules characters, Aphrodite and Cupid, show up on Xena for the first time. ... This episode, inspired by the film The Court Jester, is a lot of fun. It was necessary every season to have the leads of the shows leave New Zealand for the NATPE convention in the US. That meant very little Xena, but, not to worry; Gabby is great all by herself, and with Joxer around, a fine episode was the result.
