Lovers and friends. Yep. It checks out. 🥰 I never separate the two aspects when it comes to a true love and soulmate connection like theirs. Romantic friendship or platonic lovers. Whatever you want to call it - the point is they’re each other’s half to a whole. One soul in two bodies. Just as my character study thesis states. And episodes like this one really showcase the truth of that.

It seems odd to me that the late king kept a nude statue of himself, but I guess you can do that sort of thing when you're royalty. I still find it a little harrowing when Gabby is about to be cremated. The funny bits with Gabrielle and Vidalus are a highlight.
