2024-06-06 02:55:29 +0000 UTCLove this movie!! In the book, Ninny is Idgie but for the movie they made it a bit ambiguous and added that she was the wife of the other brother instead. Few fun facts: the necklace that Idgie wears throughout is actually a pocket watch chain that Buddy wore. Also the red haired woman leading the first class Evelyn went to is the author of the book Fannie Flagg. And for the bee scene, Mary Stewart Masterson, Idgie, really did that herself and walked back with the honey.
