Yes, why do they fight? I think this is a really good question. Just about every episode a new street fighter character is introduced. It's like a mystery why they are fighting. The series continuously explores those questions... I think the Luchador tried to explain why he fights in his speech. Not to be overly dramatic but... it seems that it is because he no longer can stand it. His body must move to action. I believe he is rebelling against the mores of society, perhaps struggling against the restrictions of orderly society put in place there by generations long past. He and others can no longer stand it. They have to find their own path, a way to let their spirits run free. Lucha Master removes his polite public mask to reveal underneath his true mask, his mask of fighting. "If a child runs into traffic... This body must move!" grins the Luchador. He also gives a clue with the elderly lady who is lost in a rainstorm looking for her grand daughter maybe living alone. "He will go out of his way to help the old lady even if he is going to be late for a job interview..." Aha! This is the clue. He has forsaken normal society such as looking for a job which is very important in their world. ππ Hahaha his speech is so funny. But underneath it all he's on a Quixotic quest for true meaning... I love when the violins comes in playing with increasing madness... and the camera angles. The tight close shot to one eye like an old western. But yet there is no camera. Everyone is an aspiring film maker.
