Sprites, Attempt #2
Added 2023-03-20 04:00:42 +0000 UTCAfter some time to sit and stew, I went back and decided to try a thicker outlined style. This would let me keep the rich, vibrant colors and better rendering/shading (which I liked), while creating that cartoony look present before.
Additionally, I thickened the eyelids/lashes, lining them darker and thicker than before.
The end result is an HD sprite that retains superior quality improvements while also feeling less thin and fragile. Jack feels and looks stocky and thick, even perhaps a bit more muscly than before.

2023-03-20 15:28:35 +0000 UTCHonestly for me i think i see mega reasoning for the previous sprite outline style It was a massive change and it also shows how much your style changed too. Im honestly fine with both, it didnโt really mattered to me, but with the thick lines, it feels a bit like a call back to the OG style a lil bit (in a good way if that makes sense!)

2023-03-20 05:24:48 +0000 UTCBoth versions look great! โค๏ธ I commented on twitter how the thicker lineโs make him look closer to his og version which a lot of people complained about, they didnโt like the veering away from the og look but thatโs part of the design process. Heโs been reworked a few times now but I guess thatโs how it works, he looks good regardless!
