For all our dedicated fans, followers and patrons, we’re pleased to offer this first update of the new year! Production is back and building up speed across a number of our projects, supported by newly incorporated production pipelines, following the expert advice of experienced game developers and industry veterans. We’ve been working hard to make sure we start this year off right.
These new pipelines rely on a measured approach to production, tackling particular elements of a project at a time rather than trying to do everything at once — art, music, programming, writing, voice acting, translation, etc. — which, under previous management, frequently became overwhelming. This led to standstills, production delays and severe mental strain on our collaborators and contributors, especially the now-retired JambeeBot.
With this new system, we can prioritize quality over speed and quantity, ensuring smoother workflows and clearer communication between contractors while respecting their time and skills. By streamlining production through dedicated pipelines, we achieve more efficient collaboration, fewer roadblocks, and a steady flow of high-quality content for you!
Rest assured, “Something’s Wrong With Sunny Day Jack” is alive and well. Not only that… It’s bigger and better! After careful, considerate examination of the game’s original, all-in-one plot, JambeeBot realized that the story they initially had in mind did not align with their creative vision, nor did it do the characters we all love justice. With the diligent work of our dedicated writing team, we’ve upgraded the narrative for SWWSDJ — and we now believe that the plot will be best told in two dedicated, full-length acts!
We're also focused on maintaining consistency across all story routes, smoothing out plot holes, and ensuring every narrative branch — choices and endings alike — aligns with our overall vision for a cohesive and emotionally engaging experience. This includes refining new content to seamlessly connect with the demo, creating a natural transition from what you’ve experienced to what’s ahead. Our ultimate goal is to do justice to this story and the characters we love.
On the technical side, our programmers are optimizing game files to be as compact as possible while introducing more interactive elements, giving players more to engage with beyond just scrolling text or pressing a key. Visual novels are an art form, and we’re committed to fully exploring both their creative and technical potential. Our goal is to create an immersive experience, and we’re constantly discovering new ways to make that happen.
Make no mistake. “Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack” remains our constant priority. These additions, and the production pipeline we’ve spent the past months building and implementing, are part of our commitment to delivering a truly engaging experience.

We want to take a moment to address an announcement made by previous management regarding Barks and Mews. Unfortunately, this project was announced without the proper authorization from JambeeBot. We understand that this may come as a disappointment, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion. But while a story centered around Simoun and Bo never truly reflected the creative vision for “DaCHaBo!!” at the time, the concept proved just how excited fans were for more content, and for Simoun himself. With that in mind, we are now moving into pre-production on a new installment of “DaCHaBo!!” with Simoun! his will feature voiceover lines and "Feed Me" mode akin to Bo's version.
What’s more, we’re giving our patrons the opportunity to help shape the experience: soon, you’ll get a chance to vote on the lines you’d like to hear Simoun say! This new direction reaffirms our commitment to a project that truly reflects our creative ambitions, while inviting our community to be a part of the journey!

Following our hiatus, production on Project Drama Boy is now back in motion! We’re excited to share that the dedicated Project Drama Boy audio team is diligently remastering some older releases and never-before-seen content, to elevate their overall audio quality. This process involves revisiting every detail — from refining sound clarity to balancing audio levels — to create a richer, more immersive listening experience! Not to mention, entirely new episodes are now in pre-production. With these improvements, we’re confident that Project Drama Boy will captivate both longtime fans and new listeners alike.

Due to Twitter (X) being banned and/or restricted in many countries across the world, we’ve launched an official SnaccPop Studios Telegram Channel and a Bluesky account. We encourage you to follow us there, to stay up-to-date with our latest news and content!
Our journey hasn’t been easy, but each setback has made us more determined and more resilient. Thank you for sticking with us as we move forward in this new era of SnaccPop Studios, with a clear focus and renewed energy.
