We weren't able to hit our CG target, because we're looking to heighten the quality to a degree where getting the CGs out isn't as quick a process as before. But we're chugging along, laying down the groundwork!
And this time, we've decided to share our progress with all of you!
This post is officially free, and we'll be circulating it and some cool behind-the-scenes Kickstarter content once we're done stringing together the updates from our programmer AND our GUI artist!
However, we ask all fans to remember that this is a temporary, unoptimized build. It's being built at no additional cost to show off improved graphics/new story content-- but it is a modified build of the original demo.
This demo in no way reflects the capability/file size/etc.. of our current private build, and should be considered more of a content sample!

I agree 10000%. I also preferred the previous Nick. He made me *feel* things. ^.^' This one, not so much.

2024-10-09 22:21:58 +0000 UTCSo, after playing all three demos in one sitting, I've come to a personal consensus. I like the previous Jack sprite better (design-wise); his expressions too. This new one doesn't feel quite so... "approachable" or relatable as the last one if I taking into consideration that Jack was a children's TV show host; one struggling with many dilapidating mental/social issues as referenced and/or hinted at throughout the game and other audio releases. I don't know, this sprite just feels too larger than life, I guess? The best way I can put it is that one feels like a superstar while the other reminds me of "that camp counselor I absolutely had a crush on". Also, I'm hoping the music from the previous demo stays as well. It hits like 80s music and sets the mood perfectly. Especially the "Are they really worth all this pain" scene after the MC answers a call from Ian while at work.
