Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting Update!
Added 2020-04-01 15:52:48 +0000 UTCUpdate: I updated the guide once again on GMbinder, in the attached PDF, and the google drive link.
- The boaboa race info now says what happens when you make a life long friend with one.
- Fixed backgrounds, the knight and handler had too many tool/language proficiency so I removed the additional language they had. The Initiate now can learn one additional language.
- Greatsword charge slash property has changed. It now provides a bit more options for the slash while still providing the same damage as the original great sword if you forgo the advantage. (This is still in the testing phases but I am a fan of this change, which was partially suggested by someone on reddit and then I balanced it and added some additional effects to it to keep its power on par with the original).
- Druid Wildshape clarifications in the create a character section has been added
- Attuning to your fists has been added to the weapon rules & info section. This is mainly to help monks and their unarmed strikes, but can be useful for other classes that like to punch things also.
Hello Everyone!
It is finally here! After months of work the newest version of AGtMH is here. The original guide was 51 pages long, the new guide is 146! In it you will find:
- Lore. (that I created by combining the pieces monster hunter lore and dnd) Now this lore may not be for everyone, but it is a base for you to create your own if you don't like it.
- Gods. A selection of gods, some with new lore to fit with the setting, but mostly remain the same.
- Races. Not only will you find information about the races of the world, but also you will find three new playable races, the wyverians, lynians, and troverians!
- New Feats. 11 new feats for your characters to choose from as they level up!
- Information about the World. including population %'s for different settlements.
- A guide on creating your own loot tables and materials!
- Plus so much more.
I spent a ton of time on this and I hope you all will enjoy reading and looking through this update. Even though this update has been pushed out and I am proud of it, there is still more to add, so expect more updates in the future to this guide.
Lastly I want to thank you all for your support and patience as I worked on this. It took a little longer than expected due to the difficulties I had with chapter 1. Your support and help means a lot.
