【2024/08~2025/02】Process - 100,000 | 過程 - 100,000




Hold on hold on, don't leave just yet, I promise there's an interesting story of why this image was made, but bear with me as I take you on this longggggg journey of how we got here (¬ ͜ ͡¬)


等等等等等你先別走,我跟你保證這張圖會誕生是有原因的,但過程有點長,所以請聽我細細講解 (¬ ͜ ͡¬)

Where it all started | 一切的開端

So, we've all seen a print where you see two different images depending on the angle you view the image from, right?

Let's talk about the science of how this works:


我們都看過那種不同觀看視角則會看到不同圖片的印刷對吧?

我們先來聊聊這背後的原理是什麼:

It's called "lenticular print" and it's actually quite simple, if we zoom in on the prints, we'll see rows and rows of neatly aligned lenticular bumps. Within these bumps, are printed images, one half being image A, the other being image B. When we look at the lenticulars, depending on our viewing angle, our line of sight is directed to only seeing half of the printed image. That's why we are able to see two different images on one print.

You can only have two images, or at most, three, right...?


這東西叫「光柵(lenticular)」,原理其實挺簡單的。如果我們放大看這些光柵印刷,我們會發現表面有一條條整齊排列的光柵凹凸。這些凹凸內則是我們想印刷的圖片,每個光柵內一半放圖片A,另一半放圖片B。觀看時,光柵會根據觀看者的位置將視覺引導到其中一半的圖片,所以我們看到的圖片都是一半的印刷而已,這就是為什麼我們能同時看到兩張不同的圖片在同一個印刷上。

反正只能有兩張圖片,最多可能三張之類的,對吧…?

This Sam Beige guy's video inspired the hell out of me.

As it turns out, you can actually fit a ton more images in one lenticular than I originally anticipated. This also means, you can do smooth animation, 3D parallax illusions, and maybe even cool variations (*´﹃ˋ *)

Then I went to Japan (this was back in April) and this is one of the gifts I bought for Mutoh (〃∀〃)ゞ. When I first encountered this in a second-hand store, I was completely dazzled, I stood in the aisle for minutes just turning it over and over from one side to the other, and I was determined that I want to make something as cool, if not better than this.


然後我就去了日本(這是四月左右的事),這是我買給武藤的其中一個禮物 (〃∀〃)ゞ。當我在二手商店看到它時,我整個被迷住了,我有好幾分鐘都是一個人站在走道中間把這印刷翻來翻去觀賞。於是我決定了,我想做出一個跟這個一樣酷,或更強的設計。

Concept v1 | 概念 v1


You may recall that I showed this during the July's Progress Update.

The idea is that there will be two lenticular designs, with Sand & Mutoh paired, and Orbi & Duty Boy paired. I wanted to design something that can be turned 90 degree from either side with the backview being the center point, revealing information that you wouldn't otherwise see.

Orbi & Duty Boy's design is a different concept, but I first wanted to see if this design is possible, so I began contacting manufacturers by sending them this concept. As you recall in July's Progress Update, it didn't really go well.

我原先的想法是要有兩種不同的光柵設計,一種是沙子&武藤、另一種是Orbi&值日生。我想設計一個直接看會看到角色背面,但卻能往左右兩邊90度,看到一些隱藏的資訊的作品。

Orbi&值日生的設計又是不同的概念了,但在這之前,我想先確認這樣的設計技術上可不可行,於是我就拿這3D模擬圖開始聯絡各種印刷廠詢問。如果你還記得七月進度報告的內容的話,發展真的不太順利。

I learned 3 things from that Concept v1:

1. Make the movement more subtle for better effect

2. This shit is sooooooo fucking expensive, just do 1 design💸💸💸

3. I need better manufacturers, so I've hired these two badasses above to help me find and contact Japanese manufacturers ( ง ᵒ̌∀ᵒ̌)ง⁼³₌₃


從概念v1,我學到了3件事:

1. 動態不要做太大,效果會更好

2. 這東西有夠他媽貴,做一個設計就好💸💸💸

3. 我需要更優的廠商,於是我僱用了上面這兩位大大幫我在日本尋找與聯絡印刷廠 ( ง ᵒ̌∀ᵒ̌)ง⁼³₌₃


Concept v2 | 概念 v2

I want an A4 folder design where 4 of the boys are gaming together after school in classroom, sharing snacks and trying to beat a game. When you look down, you will see all the food and books they have, when you look up, you will see the title "Gaming Shota" appear, as if it were a magazine cover.


我想要設計一個A4資料夾,四位角色放學後在教室內一起分享零食、攻略遊戲的場景。當你往下看時,你會看到各種食物與書籍,當你往上看時,你會看到「Gaming Shota」的雜誌風格標題。

Apparently you can get really good 3D captures with just your phone's camera (except for transparent materials).

So, I spent an entire day just buying and scanning all kinds of childhood snacks XD

This super cool technology is called "Polycam", I'm glad I finally learned it and found a use for it in my project!


現在的3D掃描技術似乎已經強到就算是用手機相機也能獲得非常好的結果(除了透明材質以外)。

於是我就花了一整天的時間採購以及掃描各種童年的零食 XD

這超酷的技術叫做「Polycam」,我很慶幸我終於學會且找到地方用在自己的作品上!

This composition is extremely difficult to manage, I was stuck on this step for 2 days, so let me just slap a random golden spiral so it looks like I know what I'm talking about (?)

The difficult part about this composition is that because there are so many different elements scattering around, it can get very messy and confusing very very easily.

My solve for this is not only to add fogs and shadows to separate the different elements, but also arrange the snacks in a way that it follows the rainbow color spectrum, so that it feels like there's an order to the arrangement.


這個構圖真的超難控制的,我在這個步驟就卡了兩天,所以先讓我隨便貼個黃金比例線假裝我知道我自己在幹嘛(?)

這次構圖困難的點是有太多不同元素需要平衡了,做不好的話很容易會變得非常凌亂且不好理解物件彼此之間的關係。

我的解決方法是除了加入霧氣和陰影來分離不同的物件之外,還多了把這些零食依據顏色用彩虹的順序來排序,讓物件的安排看起來比較有邏輯。

I usually dislike redrawing everything since it's quite tedious, but I can't deny that it yields a cleaner and more professional final look, and I guess it's something I want for this piece, ah... shit, here we go again. (›´ω`‹ )


我一般不喜歡把所有東西重畫,畢竟實在有點費時,但我又不得不承認最終的結果通常都看起來比較乾淨、更專業一些,我覺得這次的作品特別需要這樣的專業感,所以ah shit, here we go again. (›´ω`‹ )

為了畫面內的小物設計了這些小垃圾,由於他們基本上都會被糊掉,所以內容我幾乎都亂寫XD

武藤說我真的有夠老,現在哪有人還會讀紙本的攻略密技 (´ . .̫ . `)

I can't actually use the food labels and their trademarks legally, so I have to create my own versions of these food packaging (mostly parodies with shitty puns and memes). Ah yes, we're finally here, that's why we have this beauty:

Rinmi's Suggestions | Rinmi的建議

@9Rin_RinmiRin recommended making Sand's face's contrast a bit higher since it's the focal point. He also suggested making Orbi's face look a bit more shocked so that someone is reacting to the mess that's about to happen. One little detail he recommended which I also really like is to make the top chocolate ball slightly bigger than the rest, which helps to sell the depth effect even better! (〃'▽'〃)


@9Rin_RinmiRin 建議我將沙子的臉部對比調高,畢竟是主要焦點,也建議了將Orbi的臉調整成有些驚嚇的樣子,這樣至少有一個人在對這混亂的場面做出反應。有一個我很喜歡的小細節是他建議我將最上面的巧克力放大一點點,讓景深效果更好!(〃'▽'〃)


Title Redesign | 重新設計標題

The original title was made in 2020, which is about 4 years ago, time to remake it XDD

I wanted a logo that doesn't explicitly use any game related element, but also shows a shota being a bit bratty, yet trying hard playing games. The logo itself should have a stronger personality to reflect the feeling of being immature and nonconforming!


最初的標題是在2020年設計的,已經4年前了,是時候重新設計了XDD

我想要的logo是一個不使用任何遊戲相關的元素,同時又能強調正太那種有點屁、又認真玩遊戲的感覺。我希望這個logo是有點個性,強調正太有點不成熟又不社會化的印象!

The design on the left of the rectangle is the design I was going for, then @9Rin_RinmiRin gave recommendation with the design on the right of the rectangle. Which lead to the final design, the one inside the rectangle!

Draugnut's Suggestion | 爪爪的建議

@Draugnut recommended some minor fixes to the volumes of the legs, changed the gesture of the hands a little, as well as changing the biscuit's rotation a little to not cause a tangent with Duty Boy's broom.

He said this is a very well done piece of illustration, I'm so happy ٩(˃̶͈̀௰˂̶͈́)و

I also changed the logo's color a little for my own preference, now, time for Live2D hell!


@爪爪 建議了腿部體積的調整,也改變了手的姿勢,也將餅乾的轉向調整成不會跟值日生的掃把連成一線的打架構圖。

他說這次的插畫畫得很棒,我超開心的٩(˃̶͈̀௰˂̶͈́)و

我也將logo依照自己的偏好調整成自己喜歡的顏色,是時候來Live2D地獄囉!

As you guys can see, the main effect of this work can mostly be boiled down to that one parameter, "Lenticular Parallax", which I've spent 2~3 days on it alone due to the sheer volume of things needing to be deformed. (¦3ꇤ[▓▓]

When I turn on the "Guide Opacity" parameter, it will change the opacity for the guide image I've made in 3D, which helps me calculate the perspective changes with even more precision!


如你所見,最主要的效果都集中在了一個名為「Lenticular Parallax」的參數上,由於需要變形的東西真的太太太多了,光是這個參數就花了我2~3天製作 (¦3ꇤ[▓▓]

當我打開「Guide Opacity」的參數時,這則會淡入我在3D製作的參考圖,讓我能更精確地做出透視上的變形!

The Back | 背面

Since it's a folder, it's got to have a design on the back too! I recycled a lot of the elements from the illustration itself and arranged it with a grid system to create a contrasting design that feels less busy!

All that's left is to contact the manufacturers, which have long been in progress, let's wait and see 👊 ᷇ᵕ ᷆ )


畢竟這是個資料夾,背面也必須要有點設計!我重複使用了一些插畫內的元素,並用網格系統排出了相對不雜亂的設計來跟正面作出對比!
