I've been debating joining the patreon for a while, but hearing about these extra question sessions sealed the deal for me! Very excited for your reactions every week and as an avid Korra fan (I've probably seen the show like 15 times lol) I really enjoy how you guys answer questions from other Krora fans because it is always a nice wrap-up for every episode.

2021-01-26 17:16:55 +0000 UTCEach of the Lion Turtles had different head markings based on their element; the one Aang met was very close to the Fire one Wan originally lived on. One theory is that energybending is Lion Turtles' natural form of bending and is how they gave and took away bending from people. Their claws touch the same spots that Avatars touch while energybending (although it's also the same spots Amon touched while taking away people's bending, so that may have more to do with bending in general than energybending).

I think book 2 of Korra is an excellent way to tie into the finale of Avatar when the lion turtle shows up. It really makes the two series feel like one big series. So excited for more Korra!

2021-01-26 02:42:48 +0000 UTCGonna be weird watching this without seeing your reaction to episode 8 first lol but hey content is content 🤷♂️ Edit: Oh and by the way, this is not a spoiler because you dont find out, but the Lion Turtle that Aang met was a firebending turtle. Maybe the same one that gave Wan firebending. We know this because of the designs on both of the Turtles' faces was exactly the same, showing that they are the same type of turtle. So ALL lion turtles energybend but they just give certain elements.
