Discussion: Replacing Episode 7

As im sure most of you know by now, for some reasoon the video files of Montana and I watching episode 3x7 of Korra for some reason are not openable, and say they are 0kb. This means we effectively dont have a reaction for episode 7.
As a result, Episode 8 will come this sunday, as episode 7is kinda filler and can really be shown after episode 8 with no issue. The issue then becomes filming episode 7 again and turning it into a video by thursday. I don't have much time to film, super busy, and I have an AOT youtube video ready to go right now. So, here is the question. Should I:
A: Rewatch Episode 7, comment on things from a already having watched it perspective (Think "oh I loved this part! Baby skybison moments are always my favorite"), occasionally using our audio from the original watch over footage of the episode.
B: release AOT thursday to give me more time to film, it won't matter if I miss 1 thursday Korra premiere and post another video instead
Comment if you have other suggestions! Just know I do have every part of our original episode 7 reaction except for the footage of Montana and I visually (we have the audio and screen record)

hey maybe watch ep 7 again after finishing the season, that way it's more enjoyable to watch as you won't have literally just watched it + things will be different in retrospect

If you want to delve more into any observation or analysis, you could add it, but the idea is that you do not work as much in the edition (like a podcast). Furthermore, the idea of "re-reacting" seems forced or strange to me. I'd rather hear your original reactions than see you reacting to something you already know

People will understand if you have to take a moment to breathe. They me be upset and whine at first, but most people are compassionate at their core.

2021-03-19 17:02:50 +0000 UTCPeter if youre talking to me I don’t think it would take much more time than usual, I’m not saying to animate the cartoons, just have them there as static visual elements. Assuming one of the YouTube fixes is that people sitting semi in front of the screen helps to avoid copyright issues. Also it wouldn’t be in time for Thursday with this option, and the extra editing might replace any meme-adding that would normally happen. Idk it’s just a suggestion, I’m happy with whatever we get :)

A re-watch wouldn't have the same reaction so I would settle for an audio of the reaction and I'd just sync it up with the episode on my end

2021-03-19 16:58:24 +0000 UTCI'd be completely fine with that. I personally think either would work. Because on the rewatch you can probably add more thoughts to it since the first time you're taking it all in while coming up with comments on the spot. Also B is much better for this.

And if you stop the episode you can have your little cutscene with just you guys as usual but it’s just the audio with the drawing versions of you in place of the usual video version?

And without the dynamics of them reacting it's not as interesting/fair use friendly to watch so I expect Kenny wouldn't want too/have time for that.

Obviously you’d have to fill some dead space for a YouTube version so you don’t get copyright struck, but I don’t think hearing the reaction without actually seeing it is THAT big of a deal. At least to me
