OK, so, three years after this was posted, no idea if anyone will ever see this comment, but I only got into She-Ra a couple of months ago, after my hyperfixation with the Owl House. First thing I noticed was Hordak/Horde Prime/all the clones sounded familiar. Hey, that's Darius from the Owl House! Then in this episode Kenny recognized Grey Griffin as Madame Razz, and I remembered she also voiced Masha (among others) on the Owl House. But then today I finished a story arc in the game I play, Star Wars: The Old Republic. They run credits at the end of major arcs, which I usually skip, but today I let it run, and saw that Grey Griffin did the voice for the female bounty hunter player character. So yeah, incredibly talented (and busy) actress, and it's a lot of fun to be starting to learn and recognize names and voices! (Oh yeah, and Amity is Katara!)

2024-05-09 04:47:42 +0000 UTCGiven that the sword's blade is crystalline and inlaid with First Ones runes, and the blade is also so thick and bulky, my headcanon is that it works like a Star Wars vibroblade or a power weapon in 40k, with the tech in the sword making the blade sharp when needed and dull when not.

Both the episode ànd the reaction to it were amazing (let us just say Montana and I share a love for horses) As a writer, exposition without plot dumping is very difficult, and without a character like Razz, things would have been too heavy and boring. The character lifts the episode and is a wonderful switch between "info" and "fun." On to the next one for me! (If it's already posted!)

2021-07-08 21:22:11 +0000 UTCSome references in this episode to some characters that were in the original series as easter eggs, such as Razz referring to living with her broom and "Lookee": originally Broom was actually animate and able to talk, and Lookee was a character that was a sort of "Where's Wally/Waldo?" who would be hidden in each episode and be revealed where they were hidden at the end. Also: the stuffed toy that Adora grabs on Glimmer's bed used to be another character in the original show, called Kowl. If I recall correctly, Kowl, Razz, and Broom are the only one's to know She-Ra's identity besides Light Hope.

2021-07-08 20:35:48 +0000 UTCMy favorite detail about this episode is the fact that Adora spends most of it screaming "For the Honor of Grayskull" in multiple different ways to try and activate She-ra, but when she finally finds the drive to really do it, she basically just whispers to the sword.

If you use the cumulative count and then I try to add your in-episode counts, It'll end up a mess. You handle the episodes, I'll handle the running tally.

Thanks for picking up the series. YouTube had steered me toward your ATLA and Korra reacts, and those were great. I'd been in the midst of reallocating some of my "support" budget because some projects had completed and for others it was time to drop, then you two picked up this and, well, I went full-year-top tier. I had a blast watching the show, and it's nice watching the pair of you enjoy it too.

And less often they skip a number, and I'll correct those too, but there's some discretion involved. Fer instance, the "Montana Horse Girl Counter" didn't show a #3 on screen, but I'm accepting the speed with which the "Montana Anger Counter" went up when the Horde was trying to capture Swiftwind as qualifying for count #3. Also, the "Adora "For the Honor of Grayskull" Counter" is backdated to episode 1 and counts any time Adora says the phrase in its entirety (i.e., counting the try ending in "blah-blah-blah" but not the try ending in "Grayskaahhhaaaahhhaaaa").
