i think one of the biggest reasons Catra wants to take Shadow Weavers place in the horde, is so she wont have power over her anymore, her whole life she's been abused, treated as if she's inferior to Adora, even after Adora betrayed them, and now, feeling like Adora has abandoned her, she wants to "prove herself" show that she isn't inferior, finally prove Shadow Weaver wrong, and take away the "power" she had over her in the process.

FUN FACT: in the first shot after Adora and Glimmer open the door to the ballroom, the couple on the left are actually versions of the showrunner Noelle and their wife Molly in the she-ra universe

trying not to spam this too much but also I think an important thing about Scorpia to know is she's a princess whose kingdom was handed over to the hoard along with the rune stone that Shadow Weaver uses and we have yet to see any other member of the royal famil and Scorpia might be a force captain but she has no authority over the land despite being the princess. Honestly thinking of Scorpia's situation (and theorizing on how much of the truth she is telling and how much is her glass is half full personality sugar coating the situation) can make you go down rabbit holes and that is just with information we have in this episode.

I think there is importance nuance missing from this. These are fictional characters who are being made to look hot and beautiful as part of the story with others around the same age. it's not like these adults are thristing after a real person who they want to take advantage of. I also think the show does a great job at making the characters good looking without sexualizing them and that deserves a mention in this conversation.
