Where do you think Catra’s motives and goals are headed now? Also if you had to choose a side based on this episode, hero’s and villains aside, Adora or Catra?

Quarantings

I'm curious to know both of your perspectives on how shadow weaver's abuse has manifested itself in both girls? And how it may have skewed their perception of eachother and their experiences? Always love your takes by the way^_^

Sy

As a psychological analysis how do you think the relationship progression relates to trauma?

Rayne

Do you think Catras feelings of always being second best, would effect her the same if Shadow weaver hasn't reinforced the idea with her physical and emotional abuse?

frigiggle

How do you think those specific memories to be relived were chosen?

Frank Wales

How do you think Shadow weaver making Adora feel responsible for Catra's actions as children will impact how Adora treats others around her, especially now she is a 'chosen one'?

Drengle

How more impactive and understandable is Catra's behaviour now that you know more about how she was treated growing up and why do you think reliving it caused her to snap at the end?

Wildwolfrider

From a psychology stand point why does the way that shadow weaver treats both adora and catra affect how they perceived those memories that were shown to them. Like adora knows she needs to leave because it was toxic and catra wants to stay to prove her worth.

soccaplayer71

How do you think seeing the same memories played out for both Catra and Adora, leads them to such different places by the end? Why do you think they would have seen these specific memories and do you think this outcome could have been the goal, and why would that be?

Tessa Meaney

I think this episode is another one that needs asking: Are you OK?

JHB

Side note-baby catra hissing is 🥺

Ci-Ci

First things first: This episode is brilliant. I love it and you will love it too! Many thanks to Noelle, Sunna as well as Aimee and AJ! Now: Who has completely achieved his/her goal in this story? Isn't this person the real puppet master in the background and isn't his/her behavior much worse than Shadoweavers because his/her manipulation remains completely hidden and is not recognized by anyone at any time? What is this person's ultimate goal?

Retied

As an additional question - why do you think Catra is so certain that Adora broke the promise? How could Shadow Weaver's abuse play into her mental state?

TCO

How much of what happens in the castle do you think was real and how much was hologram projection? Like was it actually Catra at the end, or a hologram?

khaliqtessi

This episode draws attention to a major recurring motif throughout the show - hands, and reaching out. What do you think the moments in this episode symbolize? (Catra catching Adora, and Adora clinging on with an outstretched hand at the end) How has this changed from the first episode?

TCO

Do you think what Catra said was true at the end?

Trinity

Seeing Catras previous fighting skill compared to adoras (not she-ra) do you think she would have been a better leader than adora, and also why do you think shadow weaver is more obsessed with adora than she is with catra?

Caleb

This episode is called Promise, a promise that was apparently broken. Adora hanging into the hole seems to be a parallel to what we saw in the first episode where Catra helps her out of it. Do you think Catra's evil actions at the end are just motivated by this broken promise or is there something else?

Valentina M

What do you think about Catra's fighting style compared to Adora's

myownzinger

In this episode we explore more of Catra and Adoras childhood. Something I notice is that Shadow weaver sows a narrative for each of the girls, that seems to effect the dynamic of their friendship. Catra’s involves her worth being almost entirely dependent on adoras favor. In terms of Identity development how do you think this effects catra ? Especially when adora leaves the horde.

Ci-Ci

How do you see Shadow Weaver's abuse of the girls reflect in their actions and treatment of eachother? (especially in this episode)

myownzinger

I think this episode shows catra as someone who does care about how she is perceived and her achievements. I think deep down she has a desire for greatness, just as adora does. But they are both treated differently by their abuser (SW) and different expectations are set up. How do you think Catra developed to protect herself from the pain of dismissal/disdain from her caregiver and the hoard ? How do you think this is informing her decision making now, including her decision at the end to 'cut' adora off? So much to unpack in this episode in regards to family dynamics, abuse, and trauma bonds.

Ci-Ci

What do you think the hologram means when it says the sword will "restore balance"?

myownzinger

Can someone answer me why I have seen this chapter 5460356 times and every time I cry?

Marta Baez Moya

How do you feel about Catra's turn in this episode, and what do you think her current line of thinking will lead to, both psychologically, and in terms of her story?

Zak Moran

Do you understand Catra's motives more for not joining adora in the 2nd episode and for her goal of trying to take Shadow Weaver's position?

Suplee215

After learning more about Catra and Adora’s past together, what do you think about them reaching their own versions of “letting go” in this episode?
