Not a horrible idea but you are then stuck with lighting issues always needing to be perfect + full screen through the whole thing or a fake background for when they are talking and no episode :)

To be clear: this would not be all the time, only when talking about previous events like that that lend themselves to visuals. Would probz just reserve it for special moments, like episode 21

Totally agree with this. Love the idea and it looks great but I think it shouldn't be entire time. It would be way impactful when used at the right moments as you suggested, to add more power to what they are saying.

I honestly love it!! however, I also think it has the potential to be a little distracting depending on how often and how long the visuals are. My opinion is to be somewhat conservative of it for the dramatic effect (not that this show could even get more dramatic lmao..) but I definitely like it here and I think would fit anytime a mid-episode discussion is a bit longer. Also, I think it will be more powerful when the visuals give a boost to the words being said as they're being said and possibly fade out when the energy picks back up in the discussion to bring the attention back to you guys. - like for example in this clip: instead of starting the clips at the beginning of the statement, you could fade them in as Montana starts saying the words "there's like correlation by how intensely he needs to do something..." I also think this concept would be cool to use instead of cut-away clips. (not the memes of course) Yeah otherwise, I think the pause from the episode in itself grabs my attention well enough, but I really like the way this looks and I could see it amplifying a lot of the discussions. 🤗

I’m completely fine with the blank background but the specific scenes relating to the questions does look cool and help provides a visual connection to the moment being discussed

It's pretty cool, but I admit I prefer the blank personally because the images distract from the discussion content a bit. I'm clearly in the minority here, but a great idea nonetheless

Depending on the price this might be a good or bad idea but you could consider getting a green screen for that sort of thing. Could just have you both shown with a blank background in the green screen and then use the anime clips in the background even easier with a better clipping.
