That's why the horses were there, as they were left behind as the scouts moved into Shinganshina. Also, if you guys want a short show full of excellent drama, I can't recommend Death Parade enough

At this point I hated Reiner and Berthold. Everybody did. And this is what the writer wanted you to feel about them at this point in the story. Including being happy that Berthold dies there.

2022-01-18 17:51:58 +0000 UTCI mostly feel the same, but we have to remember we have a lot of hindsight bias since we’re caught up. At this point in the show, while they do give hints, they still want to rely on your sense of black and white conflict to better convey the themes later. I don’t think the warrior fans now we’re rooting for them when they saw season 3 for the first time. Regardless, I think Montana is going to have a field day next season given her psych knowledge, so it’ll be a lot of fun.

We have already seen that from his split personality he found it hard to deal with his actions and also him and bertholdt both admit that they were truly friends with them, he also saved connies life from a titan so I think she is just ignoring these facts and going with the whole black and white thought process which is unfortunate. The killer for me is if she is happy about bertholdt dying, that would be a real downer
