*****SPOILERS***** Armin became the new Helos for Marley, hence why the alliance became peace ambassadors representing Marley. There’s nothing Erwin would’ve/could’ve done that would make the situation any better. Eren knew he would start the rumbling, so nothing Erwin did could talk him out of that, and we’ve learned multiple times that Erwin’s only motivation was learning the truth. After learning the truth, he didn’t know what he would do or if he could even lead the troops effectively anymore. Armin was the best bet, and in the long run the better choice.

Thank god montana didn’t cheer or laugh at bertholdts death. The shows themes are telling us not to cheer or celebrate death regardless of the individual. Hopefully her perspective changes in season 4

I do really like the idea of Erwin's dream ends at the basement and satisfying that one specific thing he wanted to know and Armin's is for humanity to be able to see the ocean one day. There was a time for the Erwin leadership, IMO, and it was when they had tons of Scouts to throw at the enemy but now it's time for a more optimistic strategist leadership.

These episodes are so amazing, especially Erwin's development. It's sad to see him die, but his character really wrapped up perfectly. Something that I noticed when rewatching these episodes is that Bertholdt's death seems to me like it mirror's Marco's in a way. Obviously Bert wasn't an innocent victim like Marco, but both of them were fed to a titan by people who they once saw as friends because it was necessary to the bigger plan. And oh man, I really can't wait to hear Montana's thoughts on what's coming.

Imagine having to wait one full week to watch each episode. You’re extremely stressed Saturday night, slightly less stressed Sunday, Monday through Friday you’re calm but constantly trying to figure out if Armin is really dead, then you’re stressed Saturday night. Then the entire cycle repeats each week until the season finale. Anime has single-handedly caused an entire generation to genuinely hate cliffhangers 😂😂😂
