(OPINION DISCLAIMER: The following is merely my own interpretation of the scene where the man who killed Faye explains himself. I'm not claiming to have read the Author's mind or that anything herein is the objective truth.) One of the odder things i find amazing about this episode is the overwhelmingly common response to watching Gross (very unsubtle name) die, right after he described he people WANT to see cruelty and most people call him crazy for thinking that. Most people don't question the point of the character even as they prove him right by enjoying his death. Every thing about that scene is basically talking to the audience instead of Grisha, how gross looks directly into the "camera", how the Owl asks if it's really that interesting. Unlike so many other devourings we've seen, this one cuts away from the moment he dies, maybe even making the viewer disappointed. And he certainly isn't "super-evil", he's just successfully dehumanized all eldians so he doesn't feel empathy for their suffering, and in that scene the viewer (if they respond this way) has more in common with him than Grisha, who in the next episode moments after says he didn't find it interesting at all, that his screams were horrible. So Grisha, someone who absolutely hates this man and would have good reason to be happy about it, doesn't enjoy it all, and THAT is what the show wants to say about revenge, that it will never be "good" thing.

S4 SPOLIERS: I knew the future memories things is not revealed fully until the most recent episode but for some reason, I thought the past memories were revealed much farther back thanks for clearing that up I guess so much has changed in the show it just feels like a long time

Spoilers I guess? I thought the fact that titan shifters gain memories of the previous users was already confirmed way before this. But after watching this It seems like Montana does not know this yet, so when does that get confirmed because I am confused why they do not understand that part?

Updating my anime suggestions to now include Demon Slayer! Its such a great show that somehow tugs at your heartstrings while making you laugh till your sides hurt at the same time, it's amazing. And of course the Death Note (for its amazing dub alone tbh) and Violet Evergarden recs as per usual.

Fully second that suggestion. Haikyuu has incredible display of connection and communication between characters. It has a lot of ups and downs and powerful moments that would be really interesting to dissect from psychological point of view, without the drama of lives being at stake. And of course a lot of wholesome and funny moments that would 'heal your souls' after AOT. It's a comfort anime for a lot of people

SPOILERS: I think the implication is that Pieck and Zeke brought a lot of supplies (like food and water) with them when they joined R + B and settled to wait at Shi. and coffee was something they brought with them, that's really the only way I can see that makes sense anyway

Hey kenney, a cool thing to note is that when “moustache man” looks at the camera and says he finds it interesting, it’s framed from the authors point of view speaking to the viewer directly as in how they enjoy watching the show and the violence and events of the show as entertainment. Try re watching the scene but keeping that point reference and it changes what he means drastically and makes it one of the most inciteful and profound monologues in the show
