"You dont get to choose, you have been chosen" is probably my favourite Line in the Show because it made completely re evaluate the Chosen one torpe and its Implication. Plus its a direct Statement what Adoras Story in this SHow is about. The deconstruction of said Trope.

Animating mass army scenes is a lot of money and it's possible that for yhe season 1 finale the guards and others were helping with the natural disasters going on

2021-12-05 23:47:35 +0000 UTCTo your question about the Brightmoon guards not fighting in the S1 finale: this is something that comes up in the comics (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, about this or the rest of this comment) and is also mentioned in s1:E3 Razz, but the princesses are essentially each kingdom's sole defense and oppositional units. Their use of the elemental magic compensates for a lack of formal army. Some have structural/natural defenses for their kingdoms, like the Sea Gate and Whispering Woods, but otherwise that's pretty much it. Brightmoon (like Salineas and the Kingdom of Snows) has guards for the castle, but those guards didn't fight in the finale because they aren't recognized as members of an army. The rebellion exists and they fight the Horde directly, but they aren't formally recognized as an army either. Just resistance fighters with more of a tight-nit and organized way of fighting. Not quite army, but also not quite random operatives running around. I think the Horde is the only power that has formal armies on Etheria. But, could be wrong about all of this and would love any other confirmation.

I used to think it was because she's a First One, but after rewatching the series I realized it made more sense if that ability came from the first time she picked up the sword.
