2022-01-25 23:24:54 +0000 UTCThis episode makes me think about what could've been if Adora had let Catra come with her that night she found the sword, then Catra wouldn't've have felt abandoned and would've never taken such a dark path... because Catra wanted to leave with Adora that night and if she did Adora probably could've convinced Catra to switch sides with her rather than Catra feeling betrayed after Adora left and never came back. even though Adora never meant to abandon Catra, she only left without her to protect her so she wouldn't get in trouble on her behalf like she had so many times in the past with Shadow Weaver, but ultimately Adora leaving the way she did put Catra in the worst place she had ever been.

Like Adora is a princess but does not have like a super elemental runestone, and Scorpia isn't connected to hers? I have always wondered how Scorpia could see it

2022-01-12 07:05:25 +0000 UTCAlso the kids part doesn't get me, the part that really makes me tear up is how much hurt and hatred Catra has in her heart now to say something like she would rather the whole world ends than Adora winning one more thing. We've already seen how much hurt Catra is carrying around from all the rejection from Adora and Shadow Weaver, and she's just at the pinnacle of heartbreak here to decide to just burn it all down.

I think the interesting aspect of this is how hard Catra says out loud that she resents Adora because she wanted to be first, but her perfect scenario appears to just be that Adora got everything Catra thinks Adora should want and therefore stayed. The trouble is, it really wasnt' what Adora wanted at all, and once she remembers, she rejects the whole scenario all over again and Catra is hurt all over again.

2022-01-12 05:59:02 +0000 UTCI’ve never seen the show, but when Adora finally caught up with Madame Razz atop the Fright Zone, she looked her in the eye and said “I’m afraid this is real”. I think this is Entrapta’s hypothesis about opening the portal, that anomalies will appear and grow worse and worse as time and space collapse in on themselves. So excited for the finale!

I felt bad that I may have accidentally spoiled this fact by mine being one of the two questions in the verdict that both were prefaced by "So in the alternate reality" and I scrambled to go back to check just this line to make sure Entrapta explained it in the way I remembered from watching the first time.

2022-01-12 01:48:30 +0000 UTCMy personal theory about why Adora and Scorpia are the only ones who know something is wrong is that because the princesses (including Scorpia even though she's not fully connected to her runestone) are so connected to the planet that they are more aware of the dramatic change Etheria is going through. As for the other characters, the closer they are to a princess in an emotional/ familial way, they also start to realize that something is wrong. Because Adora and Catra were so close and know each other so well, Catra was getting her memories back, whereas Lonnie knew something was off, but couldn't figure out what or remember because she was never as close to Adora as Catra was.

So with regard to what's happening here, Entrapta explains it completely in the previous episode: "If we open a portal the anomalies will be catastrophic. It will unhinge time & space creating a warped reality that will collapse in on itself erasing us from existence" So yeah, this is all actually happening.

2022-01-12 01:09:29 +0000 UTCInteresting how neither of y’all considered that maybe Catra just wished for Scorpia to take personal space more seriously. I think one of Scorpia’s very first lines in the show is “Just so you know, I’m a hugger” which means that being all touchy-feely is just her nature in the “true” reality. I believe Catra also says to Scorpia that she wanted more personal space in season 1. She definitely never seemed to really appreciate any of her hugs or cuddles. But anyway, I think all that means that the more physically affectionate aspect of Scorpia’s personality actually changed here. Just my thoughts tho
