2022-01-16 07:13:03 +0000 UTClol also i think that after credit scene was put in to add to your cliff hanger counter. they couldnt end an arc on a happy note. this is attack on titan after all. i dont think it really counts as a spoiler tho. its kind of like watching a trailer. usually trailers highlight the action and dramatic moments in a show/movie without actually giving anything away(usually) . that's exactly what that did. it just leaves you wanting to watch more.

I think Montana had some interesting thoughts, is all I can really say without spoiling anything on that topic. Also... top tier joke about Levi and the foot down. I've not heard that one, but will definitely use that if I ever get the chance.

I didn't listen to other peoples analysis, but I still predicted that Armin would be the burned corpse and that the conflict would be about Erwin and armin two episodes ahead of time.. That bothered me a lot, because I would rather have been clueless about it and experience the shock as it happened.. And i know that many others had the same experience.. Especially people who are smart and love to theorize.. So I was worried that Montana would see it coming because of that scene and make it less impactful, like it was for me..

Which is why levi let him go, this decision is truly erwins and not for any duty.

The glitch is really impactful if, like most of us, I assume, you watch the ED each time and vibe along and suddenly things start breaking and some weird stuff is happening with no explanation and leaves your mind spinning to explain what could have happened.

2022-01-14 02:59:45 +0000 UTCwatching the series a second time actually made this episode incredibly emotional for me, and looking at kenny i think it was for you too knowing what happens 🥲 if montana ever watches it again, or even if she watches the reactions after y’all finish the series, she’ll agree she’s a softie like me (we’re actually the same person which is hilarious to me). but i don’t think the end credit scene was a spoiler at all!! shows tension which is to be expected but there’s zero context, which i’m sure everyone will see once we get to those episodes

Just my needless two cents: I never saw the end credit scene until my 2nd watch with my sister so I have never seen it outside of knowing how and why it happens. I agree it’s not a spoiler, but I personally don’t care for it. I thought a teaser for the 2nd part would have been better to be a less pivotal moment regardless of the lack of context. Though that scene was probably one of the most effective in making sure viewers came back for part 2 (Though, if we came back after the FOUR YEAR wait between 1 and 2 we were definitely going to come back after the 6 month hiatus) But, I also understand the joy of watching people try to figure out what it means. My sister was literally screaming when she watched it for the first time and I enjoyed watching her try and understand what was happening only to decide she just had to keep furiously watching because she had no clue. (Also, pretty much until this episode she could not figure out if she thought Erwin was good or bad and didn’t trust him, which I thought Kenny would appreciate because he’s such a fan of the commander haha) I’m so enjoying this series, thank you, Kenny, for working so diligently, but also take care of yourself! Also like many others, just restating that FMAB is a masterpiece and I really think it is a show you both would enjoy immensely.

Plus I feel like they could’ve done a better job of hyping it up instead of just inserting an entire crucial moment in there but that’s just my opinion

Does it spoil the fact that at some point there is a conflict between them and Levi? Yes. However, it does not spoil why or when. If I would have seen this when I first watched the series I would have been so confused and even more excited to continue to watch the series to know wth happened. Great job as always!! Can't wait for more :D

I guess it just really bothered me that I was able to predict the whole thing about Armin vs bertoldt and the midnight sun dilemma two episodes ahead of time because of that scene.. It really bothered me and took a away the shock value for me.. But I'm really happy that didn't happen to her.. can't wait to watch it😊

Even though it's very slow at times, it's super deep and contains the best anime villain ever written in my opinion. Also consider Death Note and Stein's Gate, they may not be as deep as the Monster but will keep you on the edge of your seats more.

I know that there were a lot of things to come that I could predict two episodes in advance because of this scene.. That literally took value away from the experience.. I wish I wouldn't have watched it so that I could experience the thing "for the first time" with no clue what was going to happen.. People who keep saying it isn't a spoiler only say so because they want to see your reactions.. But when a person have a brain like Montana, this is definitely going to affect her experience in a negative way.. I feel sorry for her..

Actually, it spoils even more than that but you likely won’t catch it unless you look closely. I never really understood why people always want reactors to watch it, the entire scene itself is shown in context not long after. Now Montana’s just gonna be like “welp, there it is” when she watches it instead of surprised. Still excited to see what she thinks tho.
