Even now, if Eren and the Yeagerists wanted it, they could stop the Rumbling and retain all that power while simultaneously NOT committing indiscriminate mass murder. They literally only have to destroy whoever’s attacking them. So far the only ones that have attacked them is Marley’s military, and they’ve already been defeated. If they keep the royal bloodline alive (which is honestly an extremely easy thing to do) their godlike power would never die out either. But ofc, they won’t attempt any of that, because they’re either too full of hate (Yeagerists) or they want to be “free” (Eren).

They are just as innocent, yet you still want them to die because it’s “fair.” Nah bud, that’s not fairness, it’s revenge. There’s a difference. At least call it what it is. I’ve already said how Paradis could’ve easily defended itself with the threat of the Rumbling alone, especially after the show of force they made in Shiganshina. They never “had to die.” Also, don’t try to bring real world examples into this. AoT is a fantasy world with fantastical problems, so pretending this scenario can be applicable to the real world is honestly dumb as hell lol.

2022-05-14 03:20:32 +0000 UTCEveryone teaming up reminds me of a conversation between Eren and Pyxis after it was revealed that Eren was a titan. They were standing on the wall, and Pyxis tells Eren about a guy who says something along the lines of "Itll take a threat greater than mankind itself to get everyone to work together." Eren responded with the fact that despite the fact that Titans were a threat to mankind (this was when they still believed that) people still weren't working together. It was very naive of them given their lack of perspective. But now fast forward to season 4 and Eren is the greatest threat to mankind, and now the whole world is united against him to stop him. You could make the argument that not EVERYONE is against him but still interesting to think about.

He was taking a gamble just like he’d think Erwin would because he felt guilty for not living up to what Erwin was so emulating him was his goal and lucky to him his gamble payed off just like it did many times for Erwin and this was a big part of admins development going forward to the rest of the series

How many of them have nothing to do with any of this? And they definitely could’ve just used the threat of the Rumbling to stave off more attacks. Eren wants true freedom (because he’s the Attack Titan), but the Yeagerists just want to dominate everyone else. Exactly like what past Eldia did. Like you said, it’s all cyclical.

Killing every person, man woman and child, is not justified at all. That is literally Eren’s conflict as a character.

I feel like the both of you would enjoy it a lot, especially after watching a dark show like AOT. Death Note and Demon Slayer are great, but are dark and grim, so watching it right after AOT could be a bit much. Love the reaction videos and congrats on the engagement :)
