This is VERY late, But I can't get over how Micah attacks Shadow Weaver *on sight* as soon as they meet again. Even though he's injured and exhausted.

2023-06-01 21:20:53 +0000 UTCI suspect that until Season 4, more was needed to balance the planet than just reuniting Scorpia with her runestone. The biggest other issue was probably that the power of the Moonstone was being shared. But seeing Adora's relationship with Glimmer, and fearing another Myra situation, Light Hope was smart enough not to blatantly tell Adora that balancing the planet meant removing either Angela or Glimmer.

2022-04-05 22:34:01 +0000 UTCMy theory is based on the fact that she keeps telling Adora to let go, and Adora really only comes to Light Hope seriously when she's trying to help her friends. Since Mara was compromised by loving the planet, I think she infers that Adora will behave similarly, especially since Adora was not conditioned or trained by the first ones at all and feels no loyalty to them the way Mara used to.

2022-04-05 18:24:13 +0000 UTCLight Hope was confined to the Crystal Castle, not Mara’s ship. It’s the same voice actor for the ship’s operating system, but not the same AI. And Light Hope could have just told Adora that in order for the planet to be balanced all the princesses must be connected to their runestones. She didn’t have to say what would happen once the planet was balanced. Light Hope mentioned many times throughout the seasons that once the planet is balanced, all will be revealed, but when Adora asks how to do that she never gets an answer. Light Hope could have just tasked Adora with getting Scorpia to connect with the black garnet, much like she had Adora fix the watch tower that Mara destroyed. Season 2 Adora was desperate to not end up like Mara, and I think that was Light Hope’s best chance to get her to balance the planet. But nope, she keeps it needlessly vague and then when she talks to Glimmer she blames Adora for the planet not being balanced. Also I don’t think Light Hope knew from the beginning that Adora wouldn’t help activate the Heart. It’s only in this season that she starts talking about Adora being compromised like Mara. Light Hope, even the one who was Mara’s friend, was just programmed to keep the details about what the project is from She-ra, as we saw in Mara’s episode.

2022-04-05 17:19:09 +0000 UTCSee I took that arc as Shadow Weaver trying her usual manipulation tactics, but because she hasn’t been abusing and manipulating Glimmer since she was a toddler, and because Glimmer didn’t grow up idolizing Shadow Weaver like Micah, her manipulation only works until her and Glimmer’s goals no longer align. Glimmer grew up receiving love and physical affection from her caregiver without having to earn it, so the face touching and praise don’t have the powerful effect on her that they did on Catra and Adora.

LH knows Adora wouldn't use it, and would instead work against LH (who can't leave the ship) to prevent it being activated so she keeps going on about the vague nonsense.

(Not entirely sure why she didn't make up a different reason for Scorpia needing to connect with her runestone, though.) Glimmer, on the other hand, straight up told Light Hope that she wants to use the power of the Heart, so LH gives her explicit instructions because she knows Glimmer will follow through.

2022-04-05 00:19:14 +0000 UTCMara was able to stop it because she hid the planet in a pocket detention and then killed herself so she would not have to set it off. :( The next episode will blow your mind. Pay close attention because an important detail went over my head on my first watch and on my second watch I was blown away. Also Light Hope glitches at certain times while talking to Adora about certain things. On a re watch it all makes sense. If you didn’t pick up on it by now from the Maria Episode the light hope that Adora is talking to is not the same one Mara had. The first ones factory reset her to make Mara comply because the old light hope cared to much for Mara. Aka “Friend”
