I forget if this was mentioned before but both Colt and Falco strove to become warriors to sort of… I can’t think of the right word but make up for the “Grice” name

I watched subbed first and I just read the line like he was using it demonstrably and affectionately, like a pet almost lol. But no, it was “MY” Beast. I actually forgot Zeke was LITERALLY titled War-Chief lmao 🤣

Lol I’ve only seen this episode twice lol. Now all I’m going to be looking at every time he’s on screen are those eyes. Jesus that’s almost unnerving to me. I mean they’ve always looked similar before but the HATRED.

Mr. Ksavers was a Goat, before that there was a Minotaur, snake, deer, and rabbit which would look hilarious like a giant buff guy with a bunny head lol

When Grisha was yelling at Zeke about how Faye died due to the world being against him, Zeke points out she only died because Grisha dragged her out of the wall, to which Grisha says "I just wanted to see the airship..."

If it wasn't for the scream power, he would just be flanking from a ranged position and throwing devastating projectiles towards the base, so still very useful. No other titan really has that kind of ranged attack.

2022-04-11 18:20:46 +0000 UTCZeke's beast is also not useful in war/combat if it wasn't for zeke's individual throwing skills + royal blood (transforming and controlling titans). Remove that and he is a clear liability on the ground. A proof of that is both is all the fights he had with levi and mainly season 4 episode 1 where he couldn't come down from the airship untill it was safe down there. He simply had to throw the last blow on the fleets and he was defenseless when they shot back ---> leading Reiner to think fast and literally become his ARMOR.

2022-04-11 17:46:02 +0000 UTCobligatory comment to rewatch this episode in Japanese to hear Hiroshi Tsuchida's performance as Grisha in all it's glory. Also, Tom Ksaver has appeared in the show before. In the S3E19 end credits scene, he was the man who scolded Grisha after he bumped into him on the way out of Liberio. He also appeared alongside Grisha's parents in S3E20 when Zeke turned his parents in. Since he knew Grisha from a young age, the decision to have Zeke report them must have been especially painful for him.

You guys really understood Zeke’s feelings and perspective in the way manga readers did that I really haven’t seen as much from the anime only community. So many people underplay just how messed up his childhood actually was to cause his warped perspective.
