2022-07-07 02:51:03 +0000 UTCi agree, but even though she was a horde soldier and warrior beforehand she still wouldn't be able to take multiple bots on at once, she has no shield or protection from their blasts and most likely she got used to being shera for years and didnt train in the same ways she did in the horde - just a thought!

2022-04-27 04:32:30 +0000 UTCThis episode bugged me so much when I first watched it, Adora was a Hord soldier and a warrior way before she was shera, they even addressed that she had a lot of combat training the first time they went to the crimson waste, now all of a sudden she's not a warrior without the sword? That's bull.

2022-04-18 01:32:51 +0000 UTCAll the balanced princesses and Shera with a sword can coexist on Etheria as long as light hope does not activate the Heart of Etheria, last season scorpia connecting to her rune stone didnt activate it but it gave Lighthope the ability to trigger it and use it to pull them out of Despondos.

The Fright Zone, her family's pre-Horde territory, seems pretty barren, and she thrived in the Crimson Waste. Sandstorms can create lightning due to static electricity among the sand particles.. So, if only by "sideswipe" association, the desert princess gets electrical powers.

2022-04-16 08:25:39 +0000 UTCScorpia's power is related to the fact that scorpions live in the desert, and deserts have a lot of extreme lightning storms. In a lot of video games the desert area has electric enemies for the same reason, look at legend of Zelda breathe of the wild for example.

I think her name is in reference to those sparkly blasts of magic she produces, but I think she actually got that power from her dad. The teleportation comes from Angella, as she used to have to recharge back when she shared the stone with her mom. But I don’t think Angella had teleportation powers, cuz she definitely would’ve been using those to track down Glimmer all those times she snuck out. I’m thinking Angella got her wings from the moonstone. It makes me wonder if the other princesses’ parents had the same powers or if there’s were similar but varied. My guess is they were the same, and that Angella being some sort of immortal being plus her family seeming to be the only one to have a Queen/King effects it somehow. Idk if it’s explained in the original series or not.

Also Glimmer and Spinerella's names have nothing to do with her powers either. It would be incredibly awkward to name generation upon generation of princesses with synonyms for the same powers.

To go from we are alone in the universe to stars, spaceships, so much vastness would be a massive change and Entrapta is the only one who is adjusting remarkably well because everything about space excites her as a learning opportunity.

When Glimmer found her and was holding the magic staff over her, Catra said, "Do it." She went from being betrayed and emotionally eviscerated by Double Trouble, to thinking she was going to die at Glimmer's hand, to being spared by Glimmer, to being beamed up onto Horde Prime's ship. Now she's trapped in outer space where her options are basically work with him or die. She's had no time or reason to process and reflect on what DT said to her.

Granted those two things aren't as related as like mermaids and water, or frost and ice, but when you get zapped with electricity that stings, and both Scorpia's tail sting and her electricity can knock a person out.

Otherwise, I didn't watch it for the first time until months after I'd finished the series (it was actually all the hype in the comments of your videos that made me check it out) and I was still blown away! 2022-04-16 03:19:35 +0000 UTCAh a 5 minute discussion about runestone powers and Scorpia not fitting the mold. easy reason for this is the runestones were created for the new show and did not exist in the 80s show where everyone just had powers based on their name so when giving Scorpia runestone powers the writers could do whatever they wanted.

2022-04-16 02:43:15 +0000 UTCThis can also be seen with Entrapta to an extent: in the original show, Entrapta was an actual villain working in the horde from day 1, and her powers were specifically traps for the heroes to fall into (Dryl is very indicative of how her stuff would have been). This version is not a “weekly Saturday cartoon” style like it’s predecessor, so it has a more nuanced plot. As such, a number of characters have more dimension to them than they did in the original, which causes the name scheme to be less on point for those characters.

2022-04-16 02:28:30 +0000 UTCIn regards to names and powers: all of the princesses from season 1 were characters in the original She-Ra show this is based on, and their names universally were related to their powers. Scorpia never became a princess in that show, and so only had her regular scorpion based powers, so the added runestone powers are not inherently tied to the character name in the same way the other runestone princesses are.

2022-04-16 02:25:14 +0000 UTCOne think I would like to point out is that the sword was the key to activate the weapon, not She-Ra. She-ra was the only one that could wield the weapon because only she ra could withstand that kind of power. It was all about the sword of protection last season.
