Except her age is never stated this far in, and it's not exactly easy to make out her age, especially when you're trying to get used to a new artstyle. Just because you've seen all the episodes and know her age (kind of) doesn't mean everyone else automatically will. Really confused as to why you think people would assume Cait is 13 just based of off 2 scenes with her in the first arc, she def looks older than 13.

If you haven't checked it out yet, the official music video for Enemy is done in the animation of the show and features a lot of scenes of the characters (mainly Powder) that aren't in the show itself. It's a beautiful extra for people who loved the show.

this scene changes everything, esp. btwn Caitlin & Vi. It starts as a playful flirt, to get Caitlin out of her comfort zone by Vi, but at least after, Vi sees Caitlin flirty with the other girl in the brothel, her goals & opinion changes. Esp. aber Caitlin saves her life at Savikas. You can here it in both there voices, Vi´s flirty is now more meaningfull and Caitlins "Shut up" was so soft, that you can here, its all playful, and she not really want Vi to stop ;)

Love your Reacts guys! - Although just one thing for reference, (not a spoiler,) Jayce and Caitlyn aren't a thing; In the 2nd and 3rd episode we see that Jayce is at least, 10 years if not more, older than Caitlyn, so it's more of an older brother/younger sister/sibling role model relationship- which we also see constantly explored throughout Arcane just in different circumstances and parallels.

What's interesting too is that Jayce doesn't initially turn his back on his ideals (I would separate ideals and ideology here). He listens to the counsel of his mentor who is concerned that their hextech is too dangerous to unveil. This is an entirely reasonable thing - go back to the lab and keep working and hey maybe those two dipshits will realize they built a goddamned death ray. Jayce is then faced with two reactions to that decision; Viktor's disappointment as he was eager to share his their work with the world and help people, and all of the corrupt councilors like Medarda who want to increase their own wealth, power, and prestige. Jayve responds to the corrupt rich fuckers instead of his friend and colleague, and is literally and figuratively seduced and corrupted by capitalism.

So about that sex scene and in conjunction with viktor blood scene…I’ve always interpreted that the two scenes are in juxtaposition with each other: Jayce betraying his ideologies and desire to help the world using science (by delving into politics, by becoming a councilor, and succumbing to superficial pleasure) versus Viktor staying committed to the cause by literally pouring his blood and soul in trying to crack the hexcore. The scene captures on how the interest and priorities of the two scientists have diverged.

Everybody loves the cupcake scene. This hunter and her prey scene - it's great how Vi sneaks around her and takes a close look - that ends in a power move with zero distance to Caitlyn, from which she somehow doesn't want to free herself. She neither avoids eye contact, nor does she physically limit Vi. And there is no immediate answer to the question. Caitlyn is already completely infatuated with Vi.

After you watch episode 6, I highly recommend watching the Enemy music video before watching episode 7. It features clips of Arcane they made specifically for the music video and won't contain any spoilers if you have watched up to episode 6. Between Act 2 and 3 was when the music video was originally released and does make act 3 more enjoyable.

amazing reaction !! especially loved the reaction to the "you're hot cupcake" scene xD A few things : first Cait and Jayce have a 9 years age gap and know each other since cait was very young, they're just close friends ! second : you can go back to check but in episode 3, when Sevika jumps in front of Silco just her arm gets obliterated and is thus now replaced with a mecanical arm (à la automail in FMAB) fueld by shimmer ! third : a detail i find interesting and that very few pick up on, just after Viktor asks jayve how long he has left, we don't have an answer but the next scene is Sevika playing the tarot cards "the death", and "the magician"

So about the development time for Arcane. There's a documentary series that just came out and the first season really only took a year or two to complete. They pitched the first episode about 6 years ago, did animated tests with the studio that made it, had to go back to the drawing board a few times, then finally got the greenlight. So the 'six years' in development is counting a bunch of time when it wasn't in development. While the Fortiche team (which did the animation) was waiting on the greenlight, they animated a few music videos for Riot games- Rise and K/DA- Popstars. You'd love 'em.

Caitlyn is not Jayce's girlfriend and they have more of a sibling dynamic. In the last episode, Caitlyn threw Jayce's flowers to the side without a second thought which could show she isn't thinking about him romantically. In this episode, Vi poses the question to Caitlyn of "men or women?" and while Caitlyn doesn't verbally give her answer, we do see Caitlyn chatting with a woman that Vi didn't leave her with. So take what you will of that.

Ok so my second comment went missing so I'll type out another one. So there is a spinoff of League called Legends of Runterra. Here writers had Riot had a lot more leeway to show LGBTQ championms. Hiya! It's your resident Cait main. So a bit of history. Cait and Vi are two of the oldest champions in League. If I am wrong they were introduced way back in Season 1. Ever since then there have been hints of their relationship through in game voice lines. Before I actually I go on I want to point out that the canon of Arcane is different from League. In fact in game Vi has a completely different backstory. In game she is actually one of the Enforcers who work alongside Cait. She is kind of a bad cop. The hit first and ask questions later kind of bad cop. She probably could pass for a US cop! Anywayso when Vi and Cait are on the same team Cait would say 'Glad you have my back Vi. Keep the violence to a minimum ok?' If Cait is killed in combat she says 'Tell Vi that I.......' (Very interesting choice words) If Vi is on the enemy team Cait will say 'I never thought we would stand opposite against each other again Vi......' And if you kill the enemy Vi she says 'I never wanted this Vi....' I really cant do justice to these last two lines of dialogue because the amount of pain that Kirsten Potter brings to these lines is perfect.

I feel like everyone talking about how Cait was 14-15 when Jayce was the handsome older man in his twenties are missing the point because in literally most media, that is exactly the kind of heteronormative relationship that would come out of that kind of friendship. Very excellent, dependable and out of her element comedy moments and I love how soft Vi is despite literally growing up in prison after a very traumatic event. That reaction to “you’re hot, cupcake” was everything I was hoping to see 😂 Also, Sevika has a mechanical arm because her old one got blown off in the hextech blast in episode 3. She dove in front of Silco to protect him, which I assume is part of why she’s his second in command now. Also also, in regards to the character animations in this show, Jinx’s are definitely my favorite. Not only do they depict her mental state in this really cool visual way with the scratchy childlike drawings, but the subtle little facial twitches when she’s having one of her episodes is just… AHHH so good!! …sorry I kinda went off there 😅 Anyway, loved your reactions and discussions.
