Meet Melissa

  Hey Patrons! Time to fill you in on personal things because you're like my friend who has to listen to whats going on in my life (even if you're just humoring me and giving me the "uh huh" over and over while I tell my stories). 

  Some of you may or may not remember, but when I was with my ex she had 2 cats that I loved dearly. When she moved in with me, they came too. And it was nice because I hadn't had cats in my life for awhile before then. So it was great being around cats again. When we broke up and she took the cats back I was in tears saying by to them. It was almost just as hard as breaking up with a human. 

  That was a year ago, and for the past few months I've been floating around the idea of adopting. This is really kind of big for me because all my life I've loved animals (cats, dogs, rats, etc.) but for cats and dogs they were never really mine. Grew up with cats, ex had cats. This would be the first cat I went and picked out to be partners in crime with for years to come. No matter what, wherever I go, they'll go. Well, meet the love of my life; Melissa. 

  So her background from the SPCA, she was found on the street, leg wound, mites in ear. They cleaned her up and I didn't even know that was her history till they went over some paperwork with me. She seemed totally fine. What's funny is, I jokingly went into this saying "I want a black female because she's gonna be named Melissa" and sure enough I get there and the lady on staff said this girl right here is her favorite (gesturing at the black cat in the bottom cage). She said this with no knowledge of what I was looking for. Right away I was like alright well bring her ass out here and MY LORD. She was super affectionate. As I right this, this is only day 2 with her. 

  She is one of the most affectionate cats I've ever met. She's still young at 3 months. But for being newly acclimated to a new home and stranger she's already so sweet. She always wants to be around me and it's just great being back in the cat life. Melissa is the new PlayStation cat, step down Toro Inoue, there's a new Sony cat in town.
