Also! I know this is weeks ago for you guys, but I truly envisioned Tanjiro as basically going mad and hallucinating to other kids. He was at pretty high altitude with little to no food because he only focused on his training. After 6 months of that, the stress caused a bit of a spiritual calling and his mind conjured up the help he required. NOW... In anime terms, that just means they were ghosts lol. Japan is a super spiritual culture that believes these things really happen, loosely enough.

Irt included forced deep inhales with a slow, shallow exhale, if I remember correctly.There have been newer breathing techniques from asain circles recently trending as well. Wim Hof has continued to "refine" his technique, but at first, it helped do crazy things, like submerge himself in ice for hours.
