2022-06-30 12:02:31 +0000 UTCAlso hearing that Montana wanted to make basically automail for animals was a really heartwarming thing. Get yourself a girl with the heart to want to do something like that and the brains to study science and robotics to make it a reality. Even if you didn't end up in that field, it's still a really admirable ambition.

2022-06-30 02:53:23 +0000 UTCYeah, being a dog of the military has clear benefits, as we've seen but on the other hand, you're likely to be called up to active service and you just have to obey the commands you're given, like a dog, even if your conscience tells you otherwise. For a pair of kids with no money, no home, and no parent that is the only way to fund the research they need to get their bodies back so Ed has joined but Alphonse has not.

2022-06-30 01:15:11 +0000 UTCI love the little touches to the idea of automail. Ed needing a generic spare leg for a bit and hobbling a bit because it's not as good or as balanced as his old one, and the fact that it hurts to connect the limbs because of the nerves. Also, yes, love that the dog has its own little automail.

2022-06-29 22:21:52 +0000 UTCI think your premise on alchemists joining the military is a bit off. Alchemists are not being threatened to join. Ed would be the first to tell you as he has on many occasions already. He chose to enlist. He signed up of his own free will because he wanted/needed the access the military can give him. Tucker choose the military to escape poverty. They didn't choose to go to war; but they all choose to put on those uniforms for one reason or another.

2022-06-29 22:07:34 +0000 UTCThink of the fake philospher stone like a knockoff designer watch. The knockoff works, but that doesn't mean it's the real deal. It will have flaws and not work as well and probably not last nearly as long. That's kinda what a fake philospher stone is like. It gets the job done (like a knockoff watch DOES function) but it's not well made and has limitations. Ed and Al want to get their bodies back and a fake philospher stone won't cut it. It's good for like parlor tricks like the priest, but it won't be helpful for what Ed and Al need.

2022-06-29 18:42:01 +0000 UTCY'all just writing off granny Pinako like "what a lovely dear old lady, pity she must surely die horribly" God, anime is a cruel teacher.

2022-06-29 17:20:49 +0000 UTCYeah the Rockbells are great, both Winry and her grandmother are autoworkers (you saw them both working on Edβs arm and leg this episode) so thatβs neat, thereβs not much representation for women engineers out there. Their relationship with the brothers is really sweet as well Also nice job noticing that there was an after credits scene Kenny, I almost missed that the first time lol
