I think Owl House would be a good choice because not only does it have light hearted moments it can be serious too and there is a lot to anylize. Another one that could be a good choice is the dragon prince.

2022-07-13 02:08:54 +0000 UTCMy top pick is the Owl House, but I’m gonna throw out a bit of a wildcard and say Spectacular Spider-Man. It’s a fan favorite show considered by most Web head fans to be the best iteration of the character. Unfortunately, it was canceled after only two seasons, so a lot of the stuff it was building up doesn’t get a payoff, but it still ends satisfyingly enough, it’s not like it ends on a cliffhanger or anything. It’s also consistently good with even the biggest dips in quality still being great storytelling. The bright side of it getting cancelled is that it’s only 26 episodes so you could knock it out pretty fast. There are also a lot of fans championing for a renewal for the show, and hey, it happened for Clone Wars and Young Justice years after those shows were cancelled, so who’s to say it couldn’t happen to Spec Spidey. One of the show’s show runners/writers is also a show runner/writer of Young Justice, and even wrote the one episode that you reacted to. He also did Gargoyles in the 90’s. Anyway, really good show that I see isn’t getting mentioned, but maybe if you tossed out the idea of potentially watching it more people would vote for it. The Owl House is still #1 though.

My top choice would be Gravity Falls, because in my opinion it is the only western animation I’ve seen to compete with ATLA and perhaps even surpass it. It’s super fun to react to especially if you get into the code breaking in the show and deeper analysis.

It's a good bit older than anything on the channel so far, but not only is it just a really good show, it has historical importance as shown by how it continues to inspire new creators.

I’m caught up with the manga, trust and believe that the series will blow up the internet next season coming out this October

2022-07-12 04:02:19 +0000 UTCWow the clone wars I gotta say as someone that grew up with episode 1-3 not really understanding the universe very well and then getting such deep context for the show it’s for sure an amazing watch and it’s my pick but I’ll give my opinion on young justice too the show starts great has amazing execution but I feel the weight of this shows cancellations and revival in the way the story is told too many time jumps and certain characters arch just don’t feel as completed as some of the other shows you’ve watched. I haven’t watched owl but I have heard great things. I’ll be ok with whatever you pick but if I had to order them just off personal opinion

Hmmm, definitely recommend Death Note for anime. 2022-07-11 21:40:47 +0000 UTCSame! After Season 2a of TOH it was tied with She-ra for my favorite, but then Season 2b came along and somehow blew the first half of the season out of the water! I will say I think ATLA is still technically the best western animated show I’ve seen just because I think it’s world-building is a bit tighter than the others, but in terms of character development they’re all equal to me. What puts The Owl House at the top for me is that it has some of the best relationship dynamics, plus I love a good mystery and these writers are so good at dropping clues in the background! I think it’s also the funniest of those three shows, followed by She-ra and then ATLA. But that’s just my personal taste in humor.

So that’s 49 weeks, and idk if they’re going to do like what they did after Korra and watch the pilots for a few shows before picking one. Plus TOH has already been on hiatus for 6 weeks.

It's from the 90s and has such good characters and storytelling that I'm actually shocked. I'm on episode 15 and it's already a masterpiece! It was apparently also based on a novel called "Die schwarzen Brüder" by a Swiss author. If you haven't seen it already, I would really recommend checking it out!

BUT it's not done yet so you guys would probably run out of episodes before the final season airs. That said, it would be my first choice. 2nd would be Clone Wars or Teen Titans.

It’s got some really incredible animation scenes that I know Kenny will love, and there’s so much psychology for Montana to dive into, especially in Season 2! And the background details! There’s so many hidden clues and jokes in the backgrounds! But one of my favorite things (at least that I can mention without spoilers) about the show is the humor! Like, I love love love the humor in She-ra, and I think The Owl House is even funnier! I just know the show would be right up your guys’ alley! Whenever I rewatch the show I’ll see these moments and think about how much fun you’d have reacting to them!

It's one of those hidden gems that not many people have seen, but those who have seen it know just how amazing it is. It's only 4 relatively short seasons and takes a chunk of S1 to get into its rhythm but wow it really goes places and leaves an impact on you.

It's basically an adaption of the first critical role DND campaign and its great, dark and funny but also pretty deep characters even the ones who are usually tropey get depth in this.
