The end of the conversation at about 40 mins in, where Vi asks "What are we gonna do?" and Vander says "I don't know. We'll figure something out". I think that's where Vander decided Vi was a grownup now - up until that point, he'd always told them not to worry about it, he had it under control. He admitted to Vi that he didn't know - he shared his worries as a leader. This series is so freakin' good, you can just get so much character and nuance from every line. I think Vi blames herself. A lot of her eagerness to take the job that caused all this was the chance to stick it to Piltover, and she's been itching to fight ever since, and pushing back at Vander. Vander really got through to her at the bridge, and made her realise that whilst fighting might be the only way to improve their situation, it might not be Vi herself who pays the price. Vander doesn't know what to do, but I think you're right about Vi seeing this as the only way.

At the very end with Marcus, Greyson got that capsule back that she gave to Vander, saying that if he changes his mind (And wants to give someone up) that capsule can reach her. Makes sense that if he did that, they would meet at Benzo's again. Vander is still at the Last Drop, and doesn't seem to have any immediate plans to go to Benzo's, so he didn't send the Capsule and doesn't know that it was sent. I definitely think that Vi took the talks about being responsible for the people you are in charge of to heart, and planned to turn herself in by sending the capsule herself, knowing that the Enforcers just need someone. I also think that Vander figured it out, and seemed to figure it out when he saw the bunny. Can't figure out how he did that though

Like compare it to any other show you've seen and I'm always amazed at how much they manage to set up just in two episodes and how much you know about the world and its structure and characters and conflicts already and it's literally been two episodes

2022-07-24 00:24:28 +0000 UTCRegarding people saying "always remember" stuff, I can see Montana's point in that if you were having a conversation about how Powder feels like she's inadequate, as they did last episode, saying "Always remember, your differences are what make you strong" would be completely natural in the conversation. However, in this case, Vi says it completely randomly and somberly in response to Powder actually being super excited about her inventions and optimistic that this time they'll definitely work, so its out of place and definitely gives off "goodbye" vibes.

Especially in the faces. I could see how someone might be unsettled, too, with the idea that a computer can make a bunch of polygons move THAT MUCH like a real human face.

2022-07-23 14:32:48 +0000 UTCpretty sure the mage in the beginning did a teleportation spell, and before they were in the mountains. you can tell quite a few snowflakes teleported with them to a safer location. There's a character in the game called Ryze who has a very similar looking spell that also teleports whoever remains in that circle.
