2022-11-03 19:36:20 +0000 UTCI think the 22 hour mark is a little bit of an exaggeration, but lions being crepuscular is probably the closest to correct. The African days are just too hot for them to do stuff regularly, although they can hunt during the day if needed. Nocturnal probably wasn't the exact correct term for them to use there, but it was just to convey the fact that lions have excellent night vision, using a term that most people should understand.
