He gives Al the privilege of explaining his position, and considers it before offering a counterpoint. Kimblee might be a psychopath, but he's extremely confident in where his principles and morals lie.

Our boy finally got his chance to go all out and as always, he does not disappoint! Also, in the discussion, I feel like y'all are underestimating the moral core of Al. He would not, IMO, be okay with using anyone's soul for his own gain at all, no matter how much good he did with it. He's reluctantly using them for a common goal now, but his initial objection to them was always that they are made of souls and Al could not use other people that way for his personal gain.

2022-11-20 22:13:52 +0000 UTCI've been holding this in for a while now and I can finally bring it up. Sloth is the most potent physically of all homunculi. The only thing that hamstrings his potential is his own sloth-like desire and nature hence his epitaph indolent which means wanting to avoid activity. If he actually had ambition other than wanting to have a completely relaxed existence very few if any combatants could actually take him in a 1v1 or even a 1v2. Addendum: prepare yourselves for even more impactful cliffhangers to come!

2022-11-20 17:10:50 +0000 UTCQuick note: as they were escaping in the car, before he eats Kimbly Pride says "They may well be tenacious creatures, but humans are easy to dupe." Keeping in mind Al is one of their Sacrifices, that leads me to believe Pride let them get away for some reason.
