The first time we see Hohenheim in Ed's flashback way back in the early episodes of the show we see him from young Ed's perspective as a man looking sternly down on him as if he was angry or disappointed? What do you think of the reveal that his grim expression was, in fact, Hohenheim likely struggling not to break down in tears having to say farewell to his wife and children for what he assumes (and we know) to be several years/over a decade? Personally I consider it an amazing piece of art that Hohenheim seen from the perspective of a young child looking up would be an intimidating figure when that couldn't be further from the truth.
