Full Metal Alchemist Ep 32 Reaction, "The Fuhrer's Son"

Enjoy! Next episode coming in the next few days!

Comments

I fucking died.

thevoidbender

"Mom said it's MY turn with the wispy bangs" 🤣

Eric Smith

It’s our specialty haha sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t!

The black uniforms are actually just the Military Police. According to the wiki its the lowest ranking.

TheDragonQueen1998

Oh, also worth noting since you guys were focusing on Wrath knowing that the brothers are researching Alkahistory: it is definitely not a problem. Remember when Al and Ed literally got permission from Wrath to continue researching how to get their bodies back? Wrath does not care as long as they don't reveal Father's plans or tell others about the Homonculi or get in their way.

They going waaaay out there today lol

Holly Brawner

And to be fair in a lot of media that picture of the similar-looking kid to an adopted kid would probably be a plot point.

Darthwin Wright

You're good. Just some friendly ribbing from your fans. Don't be afraid to vocalize your thoughts even if they can be wrong. That's what makes the reactions worth watching. It'd be boring if everyone got everything right all the time.

Sunshrine

Maybe mad wasn’t the right word but I’ve seen people keep correcting them even after he said they understand like 5 times under singular posts and in general. I think after the last video people wouldn’t need to bring it up multiple times in this one. If you think mine comes off aggressive at all though I could definitely take it down and remove that part. All love!

Cody Simpson

Quick note that Al's armour being hollow is not common knowledge. The homonculi know about it, so Bradley does but his wife and staff at home assume Al is just a big guy with armour on for reasons.

fr0st

@Cody Simpson Is anyone mad about it? I haven't seen a single comment where someone sounded mad, or upset at all.

Matt Lievens

Not matter, it's fun to see you guys involved by the story and the show gives you the answers in time as well. Have fun! <3

Man, I love Wrath. Dude is _terrifying_. Like, all the humoculi are scary, but somehow he tops the charts. By the way, wrong video but that Mustang/Chess pieces breakdown in the last one was really insightful. I don't have a picture of "pawn" as anything other than "the weakest piece", so the picture of the pawns as "the controllers" was interesting, and made how Mustang sees Fury seem a lot more respectful.

AE Jones

I totally love your guys theorizing. The only reason it bummed me out this time is that I feel like it got in the way of such a hard hitting redemption moment for the doctor getting his family back and feeling like he can do the right thing after years of thinking he couldn’t, But that’s going to happen when you do live reactions, people legitimately mad Need to take a breath.

Cody Simpson

I’d leave your theorizing in the video for sure. Maybe put like a comment on the video during that part that you’ve already been corrected about it, so hopefully people will stop harassing you about it. :)

jamurano

Thank you guys for the great reactions! I'm sure it was frustrating to have so many people correct you, but it's just cuz we all love your reactions so much and want you to enjoy the show! Don't worry no one's actually upset with you or anything, I mean we're all on your patreon for a reason :)

Francesca White

I was theorizing! Haha sometimes I’m wrong

Letts React

I know now tho, these reactions are in the past haha no worries from episode 33 onward

Letts React

GUYS I know about the doctor now, and I could just cut those parts of my reaction from the video, but I didn’t know back then lol

Letts React

I realized it now so it’s all good haha

To clear up the confusion from the touching scene with Knox and his family from last episode. It's just another example of how the show pays attention to its "side" characters. While Knox wasn't a super important role, he still had this arc of being damaged by the war in Ishaval, believing he was only good for dissecting the dead bodies from the war. He told Mustang that after the war, his wife left him and that he doesn't talk to her or his son anymore. So the coincidental visit of his son on his doorstep right after having 2 living patients from another country thank him for his kindness was a like a "You did the right thing, you're not a worthless, horrible person." Though I will say Kenny's headstrong about him being related to King and it's amazing to see LOL. Someone here said "it's a first reaction video for a reason, let them theorize" and I agree. As someone who watches this show every year (This year will be my 8th time rewatching + watching Letts react videos) I can see how it's frustrating when they sometimes guess wrong or are confused, but that's only because we've all seen the show and know the story. They're only just at the half way mark and there is SO much more coming. Honestly if I could rewatch this show and be in their position for the first time again, I'd do it in a heartbeat. ...Thanks for coming to my TedTalk I guess :)

Man Kenny is desperate for there to be a connection between the doctor's son and King Bradly

Matt Lievens

It gets hard to watch after a while, when someone is getting hung up on some wildly off base detail. It's like watching a batter get up to the plate and stand backwards. Telling them to turn around is just trying to get them to play the game, not forcing them to get a hit.

David L

One detail about them serving Al tea: The brothers are always actively hiding Al's body situation from people to avoid problems, since it's evidence of them committing the taboo. So it would make sense that the Führer's wife wouldn't know about it, and they wouldn't correct her to keep appearances. We even hear Al thinking that he shouldn't tell Selim back on the library.

Lucas Barros

He seems close to his mom as well.

Merfhew

Montana: "I wonder what his (Selim) relationship with his parents is like?" He seems to insist he has a good one with his father, at least.

Matthew Calo

They explained why Wrath was aging in his backstory, he said there was only one soul left in his body after all the fighting, which is different from Greed who was given the body so his souls were still intact.

Historia-Europa

I don’t get why a you guys aren’t letting them theorize. Why confirm or deny? This is a “first time reaction” for a reason.

Lol, I love the way that Kenny is still stuck on Dr. Knox's family portrait. Just a heads up, that photo was probably taken shortly before the Ishvalan war. It has Knox, as well as his estranged wife, and an 8ish year old boy in it. Remember that Bradley told Mustang that he was an infant raised in quarantine alongside the other Führer candidates. We also know that even as a homunculus, Bradley ages normally, and he's stated that he's almost 60 (whether that's true or not, is hard to tell, but let's just agree with it.) The Ishvalan War started in 1901, and in 1908, they called in the state alchemists. the current year in the show is 1914. This puts all of Bradley's schooling in the 1860s or so and his military training before becoming Wrath in the 1870s. Wrath was fully grown and already the Führer by the time of the war, according to the flashbacks. Hopefully this clears up the timeline a little bit.

imcalledgpk

He's really stuck up on the hole the king being related to the doctor
