Maybe it’s been said, but in Latin the word for Sloth is Acedia which means “without care”. It pertains to more of a lack of motivation and enthusiasm rather than laziness. This is must like Avarice is another name for greed.

2022-10-11 13:49:55 +0000 UTCIm not sure if its ever fully confirmed or what, but im quite sure when May says she feels people underground, the show is saying that Father has spread his stone/the philophoser stones he had made during Ishval all over the country, making him able to block the earths energy. That is also probably the reason he has all those pipes in his throne under central.

Both of you trying to analyze the story elements of shows is interesting and fun to see what you are right about and whats wrong, but enjoyable ideas. Ironically from watching you two analyze shows I can see how the original FullMetal Alchemist concluded with the information they had. I know it's not going to happen as you're a show/series reaction channel. But with Montana's insight in phycology, and Kenny's insight into theater. It would be really fascinating to see the theories and conclusions you both would draw from the Silent Hill 2 story (the game, not the movie).

2022-09-28 19:10:42 +0000 UTCEnvy definitely has helped with a lot of the conflicts, but also remember that one of the homunculi - Wraith - is the leader of the military and entire country of Amestris. All he has to do is say "there's an uprising here, so I'm sending troops" and no one really bats on eye. All the witnesses are slaughtered anyway. And the senior staff are all in on it.

Seeing Kenny's off-the-wall theories are honestly so wild and fun to me! Seeing the connections his brain comes to just shows me how differently we can all view media; doesn't matter if the theories are right or wrong, it's honestly interesting to see where your guys' brains go. Looking forward to catching the rest on youtube! Stay awesome, you two!

2022-09-27 20:41:39 +0000 UTCYeah. The characters from this story are uniquely written in a way that is quite rare not only in Shonen anime. It is not about their power level or abilities, but about their human and non-human conditions within the context of their lives. Not every character needs to be a soldier to fight; and within that, there can be variety in female and male characters like Winry, Hughes, Teacher, her husband, and all the others characters, homunculi included. They are all different angles about struggle, belief, purpose, trauma, etc. If they all star throwing punches by the final fight, I believe their differences/uniqueness wouldn’t be highlighted in the same way. Of couse, that is my humble opinion. Great Reaction Guys! <3

2022-09-27 20:27:34 +0000 UTCWhile I love how out of pocket Kenny’s theories get (especially this episode), I hope he doesn’t lose sight of just how amazing all these characters already are. He’s been quick to assume lately that most characters have some sort of special ability, or will advance/upgrade in a later episode. Characters like Winry, Ling, and MG Armstrong are quite exceptional as is, and future episodes will provide further proof of what I’m trying to say. Meanwhile, I’ll keep enjoying all theories!!

Also that moment has so many little things that build to that line. Kimblee says he is "hunting down the Ishvalan", and it is that statement that makes Miles stop and turn around. He says "The soldiers of Briggs aren't about to let a serial killer run around free." He is talking about Scar of course, but the statement basically also applies to Kimblee, and his next action showcases that. He deliberately reveals his red eyes, getting really close so Kimblee is forced to look directly at them. And only then does Miles very clearly threaten him. It's a small scene, but it says *so* much.
