Is it worth Reconsidering Young Justice
Added 2022-10-10 15:41:43 +0000 UTCHello Everyone! This is just a question, as today we plan on filming YJ ep 2, Owl House ep 2, and Dragon Prince ep 2! It seems YJ consistently comes in last in the polls, and that makes me wonder whether its worth doing another reaction to it, considering we already tried it once before and it came in third then too. Let me know what you all think!
Also, I believe the show has no definite end point, so there's that.

I was in college and it was the best cartoon on tv since avatar and it gave me nostalgia for the old DCAU which was my childhood so I'm not going to pretend I'm not bias. Dragon Prince also got pretty ruined for my by it being everywhere, people talking it up, and when I actually watched it, the show just felt fine, but kind of clunky when I actually watched it. it's unfortunate that people do that and can't let things stand on their own first, but it happens

I suppose it's personal preference but I disagree that Young Justice is better. In fact it was Young Justice that came off as bland to me...kinda. Interesting and fun but I really didn't like the second season at all and the first season was more a 7 and a half out of 10 for me

Originally they were marketed for kids so people older saw it too and liked the premise as well. Thus how I found out and fell in love with all these shows. (To be honest some of the best story's are still the ones meant for younger audiences. That's why I offered to take my cousins to see miraculous ladybug movie.)

2022-10-10 22:30:49 +0000 UTCYeah, I think given your existing interest in comic book universes and characters, you may actually get a lot more out of a series like YJ compared to Monatana who would need a lot of context for some of the jokes and themes to make sense, maybe. Definitely worth a solo series to keep the folks who are really keen on it happy, I imagine

2022-10-10 22:28:41 +0000 UTCYoung justice is one of my favorite shows of all times. And I think it would be a great addition to react to. Unfortunately it has been stacked against some other really popular shows that have been more in the mainstream audience giving them more hype. These shows are very good and well received for a reason. But young justice aired around 12 years ago now or something like that. So alot of its original audience is college age to above not to mention that it's last three seasons I want to say we're geared towards that age group instead of kids not receiving as many new audience members. So I do belive that young justice will be a great show to watch and maturity of the show grows with the character so it will make it fantastic to watch. So I say keep it. Also fair warning. Young justice operates on a "if you don't know, you don't need to know" basis. Such as if you don't know who some characters introduced are it doesn't give you their back story. Or if there a plot deduced mentioned it won't go into further detail about it and will just continue with how our characters are handling it.

The hype behind Dragon Prince comes primarily due to it being made by most of the production team behind ATLA & LoK; they will also premiere their long awaited 4th season on Netflix soon. I don't know much about Owl House, but I'll say for Young Justice that it's quality is consistent

2022-10-10 19:03:03 +0000 UTCI really loved Young Justice season 1 and 2 and absolutely recommend watching it on your own but seasons 3 and 4 kinda fell off in my opinion and wouldn't really be worth reacting to I think. Dragon Prince and Owl House are a lot more relevant to most people at this time with new seasons coming out soon. I can't speak on Owl House but I've heard good things and I'm interested in it myself and I feel Dragon Prince has been consistently good so I think they're both better picks right now.

All 3 are good shows, and you should watch them all eventually, but it probably doesn't make sense to watch the second episode of YJ now, just for it to get back burnered again.

2022-10-10 16:26:44 +0000 UTCThe show has this incredible fire in its first run seasons 1 and 2 when it returned it just wasn’t the same show to me and didn’t give the same vibes perhaps that’s why it’s last if you just watched the first 2 seasons I think you’d have a good time but it’s a very long show to commit to otherwise with no clear end goal. I’d personally like to see you watch DEATH PARADE or ANOTHER both 12 episode animes I think you’d both enjoy

2022-10-10 16:25:48 +0000 UTCI personally love at least the first two seasons of Young Justice. The third season (which came out years later) was okay, and the fourth season I haven't seen yet. Despite that, out of the three, I would actually prefer Young Justice to win. For the record, I've seen Dragon Prince but have yet to see The Owl House. And I do think that other commenter here might have a point: Young Justice would probably attract a new, different audience to your channel, but your current audience may not be as into the kind of show Young Justice is (or, rather, the genres the show is a part of).

2022-10-10 15:59:05 +0000 UTCIn terms of your non-anime stuff I think there's a sort of commonality between Avatar, Korra, Shera, Dragon Prince and Owl House that maybe doesn't extend to a more trad DC comic-based cartoon. If you went forward with it you might draw in new people, but I can see why there might not be nearly as much enthusiasm for it with your established audience.

I'm sure others will disagree but my opinion comes from the fact that Season 2 ended years ago and while there was one thing that had yet to be resolved by the s2 finale most of the story had wrapped up and that's all any of us had gotten from the series until YEARS later. Season 3 and 4 are .... okay I guess. But nothing in comparison to the first two seasons (especially in terms of storytelling). Just a thought that I'm sure many will disagree with ...
