Kenny out here making me look dumb lmao I never saw the circle

Katsuki BakuGOAT

Hohenheim is Ed and Al's FATHER. Ed is the SON and Al is a SPIRIT trapped in armor. spirit and holy spirit are the same thing. The character Father in their eyes, represents the devil which makes sense because the devil was created by god and then separated/betrayed him due to his on pride.

Valorie Faye

Not a hydraulic leg attached to a human balancing, though. Physics suggests Montana is absolutely right on this one.

fr0st

That girl has hydrolics in her legs Hydrolics that could move an air plane

"Father, son, and spirit" bruh I've seen this show three times and Montana just blew my mind

JuanderfulJuans

the father = homunculus Hohenheim; the son = Ed; the spirit = Al; the holy ghost = Hohenheim

Aug

would Hohenheim be the holy ghost? if you have the father, the son and the spirit.

Aug

Yeah, I never questioned the physics because automail I feel is implied to be a lot stronger than human limbs. It also seems like Painninya is a lot faster than a regular human because of her automail. I don't mind when people nit pick things but it gets a little annoying when there's a very plausible explanation.

Mikey

Nothing to do with plot or anything but I feel it important to mention the entirety of the 4th season/arc (like episode 51 or so) to the end all happens in the span of like a day and a half which still blows my mind

I can't believe i've never made the father, son, soul connection... Love watching you guys!! I also loved your thoughts on who the Devil would be in such a metaphor. While not the same, I got a fan made fma tarot deck that features Kimblee as the figure on The Devil, which is perfect to me. Also fun thing i've recently learned, the "box" of pandora's box is a translation lapse. It was actually a jar, one of those tall, top heavy ones with really narrow bottoms. But there's few texts that mention it, and they're Old and got overshadowed.

KT Bees

Btw Kimblee only has one Philosopher’s Stone, remember he dropped the other one into the abyss and than the lion chimera picked it up

Ever Beltran

I didn't notice this the first time but there's a shot of Hohenhein in a circle and pride as the dwarf in the flask outside the circle, which is the opposite of how slave 23 used to be outside the flask and the dwarf in the flask was contained within.

fr0st

I suppose to be fair in the situation with Panninya, she *is* kicking him with metal legs, so they would be quite a bit stronger and heavier than someone with flesh legs haha.

List of chapters with post credit scenes (from reddit) "There are a lot of post-credits scenes actually. These are all the episodes with scenes after the credits: 6, 8, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 40, 42, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49. And yeah besides those the endings of episodes 45, 54, 63, and 64 are different. :D"

Jaime

here comes 22 episodes of high octane madness 🤘🏻🔥🍻

I think Father knew instantly because Pride's vessel is nearby and the shadow of Pride is connected to his human self.

Historia-Europa

It’s also interesting to note that pride is often referred to as “the father of all sins.”

rupeestarmie

Literally so well done

From what I can tell pride seems to exist in two places which you can switch his awareness between. One is the tunnel where if someone is down there with a light source there is light and there is shadow and until that light source is extinguished pride has power. However leaving the tunnel would be like a being made of liquid trying to maintain its structure if it leaves a vessel. The other vessel is Selim Bradley body which pride is able to pour forth from and suffers no trouble. It may have been purely for dramatics but he also didn't appear until the moon came out from behind a cloud.

Calvin

I don't know if this is accurate because the show from what I recall doesn't break it down and there are at least a few shown inconsistencies around him already. But I have a guess as to how Pride 'works' so-to-speak. I think in the same way pure darkness doesn't allow Pride to manifest so too do I think pure light works the same way. Aka when Hohenheim was 'safe' from pride it was because his shadow was entierly disconnected from anywhere Pride could reach within/from the tunnel. They directly imply Pride cannot 'leave' the tunnel but it doesn't explain why he's also able to move about freely in central like we see when he interacts with Hawkeye. So again my guess is he needs shadows in order to manifest but also as a sorta way of moving. If he needs to cross a plane of pure dark or light he simply cannot. Though honestly I think Pride's abilities as a alchemical concept sorta fall apart and stray from a literal meaning/explanation and are more metaphorical in nature.

Carrying Al in pieces is probably more of a logistics thing, he's a bit cumbersome in shape, even if he's 40-80 pounds. Carrying him in pieces is easier to handle given the snowy terrain they're trying to move through in a relative hurry. But yeah, lots of anime logic and a segue to the book :DD

Jem Leye

I've seen this show atleast 3-4 times and I never drew that connection. I was stunned when I heard it

The dramatic pause from "the father son and holy spirit" convo was amazing LOL

Danny C

scars brother was a fucking GENIUS

NICK FROST

It wasn’t more so of Pride’s pride being hurt when he sees Hohenheim, it’s more of a “Hold up, this dude looks like Father. Oh! This must be the guy he told me about!” Kinda deal, since he called him by name.

Mr. 2Dirty

I love the details of this show. The fact that the fist is still extended from the fight between Ed and Father Cornello is just a small sample of the continuity this series prides itself on.
