hello, i been a member for months, and i really love and enjoy the analysis and reactions you guys make, one of my favorite anime is not in this list, but i believe you both will enjoy, i hope the other members will bring this anime some recognition and help me recommend it to you guys, the title is Parasyte: The Maxim, a short series, but definitely right up your alley.

2023-03-21 18:15:09 +0000 UTCThe point I was making is you can get a different viewing experience 'binging' an anime (or as close as react channels ever get to a binge) instead of watching a season and then waiting however many years it takes for the next cour to come out to watch it then. Should that have an effect on their enjoyment of the series I think it's something for them to take into consideration.

I love y'all, but I dunno if i'd follow the first 3 or 4 seasons along and that's like a year of reactions. You could get someone to edit MHA or the other anime and do it as an extra too have like 5 videos a week

2023-03-21 07:07:18 +0000 UTCThere's an insane difference between 12 episodes NOW and maybe another 12 in 2024 AND 146 episodes NOW. Sure Chainsaw will get more seasons and what not but these can be caught up on. If MHA is picked as the series they will watch for 86 weeks meaning it's the only anime they watch until JANUARY 2025 but if they watched Chainsaw Man or JuJutsu Kaisen they'd be caught up by 6-24 weeks time which is before even December. So Yeah I think there's a massive difference especially the point I was making earlier is if you don't like Korra or Death Note or what not you skip a few weeks of Patreon or don't watch every ep, if people don't like MHA it's almost 2 full years of reactions before they can do a new series. Especially if you add the time to finish AOT and Death Note. So the point I was tryna make is I don't think a show longer than 12 months should be the main series tackled. Maybe do it as a bonus video OR do 2 anime at the same time not 2 eps of an anime a week. I offered to help edit because personally bias here, after Death Note, with Owl House and MHA for 2 years i'd not really watch until towards the end of MHA and binge it.

2023-03-21 07:04:41 +0000 UTCComments on a show's length implying that's a negative thing admittedly confuse me when all remaining shows (minus Code Geass) are currently in-progress and pretty much guaranteed to have a minimum of 2 or 3 more seasons in production based on current manga length (MHA is at 382 chapters, JJK 217, CSM 123, and SxP 77). That could be anywhere from 1-3 years down the line when those continue, so it's not so much that Kenny and Montana will be finishing shows as they will be catching up to watch with the rest of us. :) I'm sure someone's pointed that out already but I wanted to mention again in the event it would affect their decision any (since starting more shorter series now leads to juggling in the event multiple series drop episodes in the future). With this in mind I really think how you guys select should depend on how you enjoy watching things. If you don't mind a longer wait in between updates and want to experience a wider variety of anime faster, then you'll like choosing the shorter series first. If you'd rather have longer time to watch through and immerse yourself in a single world and its characters, I think Code Geass or MHA would be the better pick. Code Geass because it's a completed series and MHA because it's near-complete (and I suspect the end will be on the horizon by the time Kenny and Montana catch up to the anime, leading to an AOT-esque experience when it comes to the finale. Whether or not you both find the wait exhilarating or exhausting will determine whether this is a good or bad thing 😂) Personally my pick is for Code Geass or My Hero based on that logic. I'd rather stick with y'all on a series I know I love watching for a long time than risk the voting next round turn to a show I don't like/haven't seen. Considering Kenny bringing up MHA I admit I'm biased towards that option, since I already know he likes it and appreciates the show for what it is. I do think certain aspects will take time for Montana to warm up to (or outright ignore, like most of us do in regards to a Certain Character), but I'm confident you guys will enjoy the experience overall. Please show her the first two episodes at least! (Wow this got so long. So sorry for the block of text 😂)

Once they have a good idea of which are the most wanted they'll watch the first episode of each and decide which they want to watch after.

At the end of the day, the decision is between me and Montana what shows we do next, and the polls and comments serve as "evidence" that any given show is a good choice. Basically, we take the sum total of all of these different ways and choose the top 2 shows based on that, then watch their pilots, then decide. Or, if one choice obviously wins we will just go with that choice. Depends on the series.

Chainsaw man has 12, JK has 24, SpyxFamily has 25 and Code Geass has 50 total. MHA has more episodes than the other options have combined.

2023-03-20 15:49:42 +0000 UTCI think it would be crazy to do MHA since it would take 146 videos atm to finish, 3 years with at least 1 more season planned + 3 movies. Chainsaw Man could be finished in 6 weeks, JJK and Spy in 3 months and Code Geass in 6 but even that has 4 movies (which are now cannon and would take way less) I just think comitting to series as long as MHA or Naruto is tough unless it's an extra. I didn't want to watch FMA but followed along for Death Note eventually. I mean Kenny if you wanna do MHA cause you love it maybe I can offer to edit MHA as a 5th video a week while y'all watch Code Geass or another shoter series or two and eventually it could replace Demon Slayer since that's only another 34 weeks of reactions. Owl House, 2 Anime and Demon Slayer + MHA Extras? Happy to help!

I haven't watched spy vs family with dub, i just know that it was my N2 series this year in JP at least. But overall i will support whichever the community chooses
