Most anime fans aren't normies. Its weird seeing normie people that don't watch anime much always complaining about stuff like that when you aren't the main demographic in the first place... Shonen in particular is meant for young teenage/adult males. They do fanservice cause its appreciated by that audience more than not. You may have yourself surrounded by a group of certain people that think fanservice is annoying but that is not majority of the fanbase of anime and manga. Anime and manga have gotten mainstream now so its being hit from all spectrums of people and its sometimes annoying to see because they just can't leave it alone and either accept it or support it. Everyone does not agree that fanservice is annoying. If you watch other anime that aren't simply mainstream anime you will find that out pretty quick.... I had never seen this full length reaction so its weird coming back and seeing this stuff.

I know it’s long but I’m so looking forward to all the analyzing and questions she’ll have plus the emotional moments and character developments are good, plus the fact there’s so many to learn about and we get content on nearly all of them so she’ll surely find a few favorites! There's give and take from both styles, but from an editing and filming sense this is a WAY easier style!

Completely understandable!! I'd be ridiculously excited to introduce my partner to a series I know and love and know for a fact I would do the same. 😂 I honestly think it's adorable but do understand how it could become frustrating in the future. Maybe consider giving Montana primary reign over the pause button if y'all stick with MHA? Idk if there's a way to give her a remote or something based on your setup but I think the swap would help to avoid stopping in places that may seem less natural (since she'd be the one controlling it!) Super excited to see more MHA reactions regardless!

I can't read and focus on the action on the screen at the same time. My eyes are glued to the bottom of the screen the whole time, when watching sub basically. Plus with subs there's extra difficulty if the font is small, I know that a lot of the reactions to subbed anime are more difficult for me to watch due to the sub dialog sometimes getting super blurry with some of the patreon reactions. For me I also think I enjoy subs cause since the descriptions are built in lol, as where if I put subs on for a dubbed performance, the dialog might not match up with what's being said and it's very confusing for my brain to process. Though I know for a fact that the English VA for Deku is great, I was originally introduced to him via Team Four Star's Final Fantasy 7 abridged as Cloud.

Yes 80% of the real world population can run and jump but that doesn't make us capable of being a professional athlete. Same with having a quark doesn't make you a hero. You have to be born with a ton of natural talent and/or train very hard and long to develop that talent to a high enough level to beat out all the other people you're in competition with. There are many quarks that are not suited for hero work.

It's an odd culture thing but eventually you get used to it.

I've been doing it so long that I honestly don't remember how difficult or not it was for me (I also have APD to be clear) since it's basically just second nature now. Of course the whole reacting part adds an entire extra element which is probably the hardest part

I fully understand why you're choosing dubs in this case, and while it's still not my cup of tea , I'm willing to give a chance because of how much you're clearly enjoying it.
