Actually, when he said "As I roast him" he _did_ mean cremation, since that is the normal way to bury people in japan. It's actually very unusal to have a full body burial, only some deeply religious christian sects do it and it can be tricky, since Japan has limited space to actually bury people in.

I'd not love if Letts became My Hero Reactors for all of the next 1 to 2 years. It's tough because it's so long you can't do individual episodes but if they did Geass or CSM for 12 weeks to a year AND MHA instead of 2 eps do 2 anime a week? Maybe I dunno.

2023-03-29 12:28:26 +0000 UTCHonestly as someone who has not seen any of MHA, CSM or JJK until now, I am leaning so much more towards JJK because I feel like it has a bit more of a pull in terms of story and the characters. I want to see more. MHA is just DAUNTING because of how long it is — just with how many episodes there are at the moment and the bi-weekly release schedule that it would be on with it replacing Death Note, it would still take more than a year of consistent release of episodes to get through it going back to back. CSM just seems like a silly concept to me that I’m not sure would be able to keep my interest (I could be wrong though! It’s only the pilot ep). I’m not sold by the first episode. All-in-all I wouldn’t mind MHA, but reckon before that series is started, a shorter anime such as JJK that is about to get a new season would be the choice to go with.

Like, instead of committing to 6+ seasons of MHA non-stop, do a season (or two) of MHA and then throw in 12-ep of JJK or CSM as a break (also new AoT gonna have to be in there somewhen). I know that's breaking tradition thus far but it could be a nice way to balance the length of MHA. which seems to be one of the bigger causes for concern.

Fushiguro's voice actor is not Matt Mercer, but it IS a friend of his! Robbie Daymond, who also voiced Haganezuka, the guy who made Tanjiro's sword in Demon Slayer.

It's hard to compare the two - they have a lot of similarities but some really fundamental differences in style and intent. The good thing about Chainsaw Man right now is that it is short but with more content in the future, while the good thing about Jujutsu Kaisen is that it has more content and it's next season is just around the corner so you can stay focused on it.

2023-03-28 21:40:10 +0000 UTCOn the one hand, yeah, gramps' little death wish is unfair but also comes from a place of having regrets about being alone and pushing people away his whole life and he wants more for his grandson, hence the pushing towards going to his clubs instead of "wasting time" visiting a bitter old man and pushing him to find people to love and not be alone when he's dying. It's an interesting dynamic.

I think JJK like CSM would be a great first series to start even if there isn’t as much hype in the comments compared to MHA or Code Geass. Such a great show and beautiful characters. Season two is coming up in July and there is also a movie already out, the movie being additional lore / background on some other characters and it was FANTASTIC. Fingers (ha) crossed for more of this!
