It's insanely popular, it's Friends level popular right now in Japan. 20% of JAPAN watched the last season when it aired. that's 1 in 5 people sat down to watch an Anime as it aired, or a single show. It's insane how big it is because of course more would watch re runs + watch with friends + streaming so easily 1/4th of Japanese people watched Season 2 as it aired.
