2023-02-13 02:48:47 +0000 UTCIm not sure why a lot of people complain so much the first half of season one. The only weaker episodes was the switch episode and when Liz and her friends turn small. Everything else it’s well done. Lots of character meetings, some character development and set up for season 2 and 3.

Love that recent shows for kids are just casually dropping in gay parents for one of the main character adjacent characters, like Bow and now Willow, and that those kids are generally the more mature and well adjusted ones in the friend group too.

Fix my anxiety and depression, keep my autism. I like how it deals with character interactions. Like Willow not immediately accepting Amity's shift but implying that the friendship can be mended.

2023-01-02 18:41:14 +0000 UTCSee one of the things I’ve always really liked about Amity’s character arc through this season is that she gets progressively less mean to Willow with each interaction. 1x03: Amity’s meanest, both in the woods and at school. 1x06: Boscha says something mean to Willow. Amity tells Boscha to stop, but she disguises it as an insult to Willow. “Leave her alone. It’s not her fault she was born without talent.” Beginning of 1x15: Amity still lets her friends pick on Willow, but she doesn’t actually say anything mean to or about Willow herself, and she tells the other girls they’re annoying her.
