For better or worse, recency bias is a very real thing.

2023-01-08 01:14:04 +0000 UTCYooooo there's another person on the planet who thinks HxH's dub is solid! I agree and second this pick. If you guys are willing to commit to the size of it, you'll love it!

2023-01-07 23:12:01 +0000 UTCHunter Hunter dub is amazing similar to death note and our main characters have Elric brother energy. Interesting enough hxh and Yu Yu hakusho are made by the same creator. If Hunter Hunter is chosen please do the 2011 version same logic as brotherhood.

2023-01-07 16:09:49 +0000 UTCI think they mean that the series itself is unfinished. And at the rate the manga actually gets new chapters, I think the fear of it never finishing is a real one.

2023-01-07 12:56:23 +0000 UTCThe dub? pretty sure its finished on netflix

2023-01-07 08:19:15 +0000 UTCUnfinished tho?

2023-01-07 05:02:14 +0000 UTCSerious question, has anyone seen the 2nd+ seasons of Psycho Pass and enjoyed them? Personally I thought the first season was so good (and complete) that I've always figured trying to continue the story would just ruin it, and I've seen similar sentiments elsewhere. But I'm curious if anyone has had a different experience.

2023-01-07 03:06:57 +0000 UTCAs far as longer series go, I would definitely put Hunter x Hunter in the conversation. At 148ep it is on the longer side but could easily be broken up as needed and definitely worth the watch, one of the best Shonen imo. With the added benefit of being something neither of you (I assume) has seen. Also the dub is pretty good.

2023-01-07 03:02:02 +0000 UTCYes please.

2023-01-07 01:10:21 +0000 UTCYou guys need to watch at least the 4th ova for this series. It adds a lot to mustang and Hugies and is a really important piece of story in my opinion
Mortis
2023-01-07 00:09:09 +0000 UTCif u guys want and have time it'd be cool if u checked out the OVA's too

2023-01-06 22:46:56 +0000 UTCSoul Eater, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon (90s version with Viz dub), and Fruits Basket (2019) would all be great anime to watch and react to.

2023-01-06 22:18:06 +0000 UTCYou guys’s laughing was even funnier than the bloopers 😂 I’m crying too As for other animes to watch… idk, Code Geass? I would recommend Violet Evergarden but that would never win a popularity poll no matter how good it is. I’d also recommend Black Lagoon (best dub I’ve ever heard honestly) but it’s probably too explicit for y’all. There’s also the new Chainsaw Man anime which I loved but am not a big fan of the dub so maybe not that one

2023-01-06 21:19:13 +0000 UTCPeople keep recommending newer shows, but there are lots a older shows that would fit this channel, like Scrapped Princess and Last Exile.

2023-01-06 21:08:15 +0000 UTCYeah, missed out on how Winry got her ear rings and how Roy and Hughes met.

2023-01-06 21:06:26 +0000 UTCCode Geass is a classic that I think you'd enjoy.

2023-01-06 20:30:38 +0000 UTCI think you both would love Mob Psycho, it's lighthearted with a unique animation style but still has the emotional beats and some of the most charismatic characters you will find

2023-01-06 19:59:16 +0000 UTCI have a list of potential recommendations for future viewing(I had messaged it as well but I'm not sure if you read messages) Fruits Basket(2019) - Wholesome yet bittersweet. It really reflects on the nuance of relationships and especially family and how they affect us in many ways. Psycho-Pass - It's investigative and mysterious. The tones of the show reflect a lot of what you guys excel in observing. Erased - A guy solves a murder of the past. It's incredible in both lending itself to theories while also building you up to become significantly invested. Violet Evergarden - Although not very mysterious, it has a hint of unanswered questions as it takes Violet through her life recovering as a war vet and understanding love. It touches deeply on interpersonal relationships, and answers the deep question of what is love and how can it take different forms. An absolute masterpiece. Clannad(and season 2(After Story)) - It starts off as a cute series that begins to open up to very dark tones. It addresses the idea of suicide, of grief, as well even the idea of life and trying to survive. Golden Kamuy - A rather expressive piece about war and trying to solve a mystery for a grand treasure. It has light and dark moments.

2023-01-06 17:17:17 +0000 UTCThere is for AoT! It's called "Attack on Titan IN 9 MINUTES" by Gigguk. It is a parody and it only covers the first season but it's hilarious!

2023-01-06 16:48:10 +0000 UTCAgreed, you guys should definitely watch the OVAs!
Alix
2023-01-06 16:27:25 +0000 UTCWell, there's the 4koma theater, which is quick little animations based on the 4 panel goofiness at the end of the manga volumes. Also if you ever get a chance to watch the OVAs they're really good (and the post credits scene of the Izumi one is pretty fun)
Eric Smith
2023-01-06 16:18:20 +0000 UTC“we may be a little high” fellow weeders? It's 4:20 somewhere.

2023-01-06 16:11:33 +0000 UTCI've asked before but if you didn't see, you should look into watching the Fullmetal Brotherhood movie called Sacred Star of Milos

2023-01-06 16:04:14 +0000 UTCWhile it is a bit much to watch the entire original series. It would be nice to possibly by your friend's recommendation watch some comparison episodes or scenes. See how different the series started, how certain scenes played out differently, some of the more fun stuff they touched on more that wasnt as much of a big factor in brotherhood (armstrong family, hayate).
